Feurste, celle-là elle était passée bien au-dessus de mon radar qui est en panne depuis des lustres… Bon là je fais vraiment dans le Britiche™: I love these dialogues between all instruments. One chord: Cminor [I do love Cminor]. I don’t know who initiated this one but great instrumentation and ambiance.

This track was made during a difficult period for me, when covid drove me into a cage of depression. To cope with it, I, in spite of everything, took out all the light that is in me and, through I can't, tried to make music. And she saved me! This is the first track in a new, now, world. Like the title says, close your eyes and journey to another world :)

Finally a new song is finished 😊! It feels like it’s taken forever and the reason? Here’s a selection of my thoughts and reflections since my last song was released 10(!) months ago: “It’s not good enough”, “It sounds like everything else I’ve already made”, Why am I doing this?” etc. I’ve probably gone through 50+ ideas which has then been discarded (not deleted but put in the “Who knows” folder) and I have revisited the “lovely” thoughts of: “Maybe it’s time to do something else and just sell all my composition gear, I’m probably all out of good musical ideas anyway” I have worked incredibly hard over the last couple of months to remember the reasons why I write music which I like to call imagining beautiful places using music as a tool to transport me there 😊 Being a perfectionist and giving one self a hard time while being creative (in any endeavor) is something we humans are amazingly good at (and I say that with some irony 😉) Having good friends & mental sparring partners around us is sometimes vital to get out of our own mental thought patterns and ways of viewing ourselves. That helped for me in addition to have a very patient and supportive girlfriend. In addition to that it is good to find and celebrate the joyous experiences of coming up with a chord progression, blending different instruments to create a certain sound which then becomes a journey into a musical wonderland in and of itself 😊
I’m glad to say that I’ve found my joy in writing music again (the funny thing was that I forgot where/how to look 😊) and I hope you enjoy this new song and that it transports you to a place of wonder – enjoy and sorry for the ramblings 😊

Also if you find yourself being to hard on you, then I wish that you rediscover joy and give yourself room to be creative in your life 😊

A nice experiment made with korg modwave.
The filter recalls "dolphins effect“.
Recording in Ableton then processed in Reaper and final mixed in cubase.

Playing and creating some music, drawing cartoons and baking bread. That's what I like to do!
I play guitar and mandolin. I used to play sitar and learn Hindustani music - but not anymore - so you might hear some influence in my music, especially the pieces with mandolin. I don't play accordion, despite my profile photo. I wish I could pay it though, and many other instruments.
