To Let Go

The forest was holding its breath.

Mist drifted between the trees, blurring depth and distance. Leaves muffled the ground, turning each step into a whisper. Nothing moved quickly here. Nothing asked to be understood.

A lone figure stood among the trunks, cloaked against the cold. They were not lost, and not waiting. Pale light filtered through bare branches, thin but deliberate, the quiet promise of morning beginning to take shape.

This place had once felt heavy. Now it felt attentive. As if the forest itself was listening.

A bird called. The fog loosened. The figure stepped forward, not because the path was clear, but because it no longer needed to be.

The light would grow.
The ground would hold.
And whatever had been left behind could remain, undisturbed.

There. Shorter. Still breathing. Still hopeful.

The Void Remembers.

Flying over an ancient temple

Two worlds, photography and Sound Art mixed together.

Analog photography, used as a means of orientation within a new collective human condition, intimately reveals a vitality forced into domestic environments where presences and absences interpenetrate and coexist.

The Frames
Photographs taken using an analog point-and-shoot camera loaded with 400 ISO Kentmere black and white film. The entire process of shooting, developing the negatives and acquiring the images was performed by the artist in his own laboratory.

The Music
7 short compositions based on repetition were born as a function of the image. The geometries and the superimpositions of the different planes intersect and interpenetrate, showing a vitality not yet considered. The music therefore tries to tell what is hidden but which somehow re-emerges, generating a loop of different states of being.

Claudio Rosa, visual artist, originally from Sant’Antioco, carries on his double research on visual perception and on the reuse of objects of mass consumption characterized by a strong geometry. His art seeks the spontaneity of a child's play but does so through a methodical, and even obsessive, semantic processing, apparently cold but deeply linked to childhood.

SANĀTANA aka Marco Salaris is a musician born in Sardinia in 1988. His music has its roots in Noise and Drone Music, developing and finding new trajectories more akin to Electroacoustic and avant-garde music. His creative process is articulated around the improvisation, listening and sound processing practices, typical of Electronic Music. In 2019 he released his first solo album "SANATANA" for the SUPRANU Records label.

SANĀTANA aka Marco Salaris is a musician born in Sardinia in 1988.
Noise multi-instrumentalist since young, he soon dedicated himself to Electroacoustic music and radical improvisation with the project Terminale_3, with which in 2014 he published the album “I-Son” (TiConZero).
Graduated in Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Cagliari, his main activities include the composition of music for dance and theater, sound direction, Foley artist.
