Lately there’s been a lot of old DJ Harvey and Daniele Baldelli mixes in my ears, so naturally I’ve been digging for that lush, spacey Balearic sound. From there I’ve zig zagged between late 80s NYC, early 90s Ibiza, and the cosmic birthplace that was mid 70s Italy. 

When I’m not digging, I geek out hard and read, watch docos, and listen to podcasts on music history. The stories behind the Loft, Studio 54, and iconic beachside clubs like
“Baia Degli Angeli” (Bay of Angels) are pure gold and they helped pave the way for the cosmic wave we’re still riding today. This mix is my salute to that era, along with some more recent releases for good measure. Enjoy!

Known for her warm vinyl heavy sets, Ays moves across genres like Jazz, MPB, Boogie, and House with delicate ease. Rooted in the vibrant Rotterdam music scene, her selections are curated with care, bringing both emotion and energy to every mix. As co-host of the disco party Love Transmission, she fosters connection and joy on the dance floor, while her Operator Radio show allows her to share her love for music with a wider audience. This mix showcases some of her recently discovered favorites, spanning Soul, Jazz-Funk, Afro, Gospel, and Disco. Tuck into the sweetness.

At the moment freezing here in the Netherlands, and I need some sun !

Here is a little mix I did from my online radio show a while ago containing lots of tracks I dug over the summer in my journey discovering 90s music from CDs.

These tracks are all cd only from the PALOP countries but mainly the focus is Zouk & Kizomba from Angola & Cabo Verde, with a few oddballs from Mozambique.
