The 80's are back in full force on Alan Dixon’s debut for Tensnake’s True Romance imprint. The London producer is on the rise with releases on Lumberjacks In Hell and Running Back this year alone. “Motel 4000” serves as a further assertion of his prodigious talent in the studio.
Title track “Motel 4000” dishes out a full body experience with a powerful italo chug, vintage chord progressions and racy trance undertones. Watch out for the piano house choruses that sound like they’ve been pulled out straight out of a classic. It’s a big one.
On the flip, Patootie Tango is a like- minded cousin. Big disco claps and jazz funk inflections command proceedings here and make for a perfect early night heater.

By day, the East London producer FNP spends his time managing & promoting artists in the mainstream space. A career in music has given him the knowledge & experience of how the industry works, resulting in a more savvy approach to releasing music.

Originally from just outside Luton, FNP began his musical journey making drum and bass. While at university in Nottingham, his work started to get him attention in all the right places leading to sets supporting world renowned acts such as Enei, S.P.Y, Netsky, Newham Generals & loads more.. All this work & network of people eventually led to him being lined up for a music industry job a few years down the line. At the same time, his record label Slinkiemusic picked up some notable fans including Teki Latex, Avalon Emerson, Ross From Friends, Loxy & Resound & Palace.

Now focusing on his own projects, the London producers music has gained support from Thump Magazine, Clash, Datatransmission and Complex with many more following suit. His remixes with artists across the world have also received overwhelming support from Spotify, bringing his streams to over 300k in the past year, as well as features on their influential Techno State playlist. The London production enigma, has never been one to shy away from experimenting with different genres. previous releases have explored Disco, Synthwave, Techno and Bass music. Working out of his studio in Hackney Wick, his releases in 2019 have pushed the envelope for 303 style acid basslines. "We Are The Gods" was heavily supported by Spotify as well as a number of tastemaker blogs. The follow-ups "No Real Perspective" and “'Acid on Wick Lane', went on to support from Dummy Magazine and The Classy Issue. He finished the release cycle with “Breathe” and the whole catalogue has racked up over 100k streams on Spotify

After a short hiatus, the prolific producer returns with potentially his most innovative track to date. The title of the new single “Interlinked” references a famous scene in Bladerunner, and you can hear the East Londoner was heavily influenced by the seminal soundtrack. It’s a potent piece of Synthwave-House, with a crunchy bassline driving the momentum throughout the piece. 

“I’ve always been obsessed with the Bladerunner soundtrack, and have always wanted to bring that style to a club-friendly track. So with this one I really went for it, analogue synth layers and plenty of 80’s nostalgia.. I wanted it to have a slightly dark edge to it as well and I hope that comes across!”

Italy’s AGENTS OF TIME have long been on the KOMPAKT radar. It started thanks to their exemplary releases on Correspondant and other labels such as Stem, Ellum and their own imprint Obscura which includes last year’s collaboration with Mathew Jonson (from whom their name is inspired by). Michael Mayer had chance to play with them last summer at one of their Obscura parties and their friendship was cemented. Which leads us now to their five track KOMPAKT debut, entitled MUSIC MADE PARADISE.

From our early days of releasing landmark tracks from JUSTUS KÖHNCKE, the label has never been shy of exploring the enigmatic fringes of disco in our own way. AGENTS OF TIME follow these footsteps but head into galactic territory with MUSIC MADE PARADISE. They continue their knack for bridging synth-wave with modern bass rhythms in a means which are purely designed for today’s dance floors. We’re proud to make their label debut with an
incredible selection of music from this talented trio.

French touch meets Italo chic on Drive Me Crazy. At first, My Heart is A Microchip comes across as a segue track, but opens into cascading synths and a predatory breakbeat to lead its own charge. Under Control is classy Moroder disco brought to the modern age. Aptly titled Interstate 10 is an EP highlight – the percussion lead is infectious and ready for prime time exploration.

Amazon Music also featured his release on their 'Progressive Dance' playlist. On a personal achievement, an idol of his in Deadmau5 also supported the track on his personal gaming playlist. 

Returning to a genre with special significance to the London producer, ‘Weeks Of Rain’ showcases his love for synthwave & disco influences. The new single was written as a homage to Italo-Disco soundscapes and hazy analog synth production. Building slowly to a 90’s dance style piano crescendo, it’s a massive feel-good, nu-disco anthem. Speaking on the new single, FNP states:
" This really was a track that seemed like it was writing itself. I got the bassline sounding nice and thick and from there I just layered as many 80’s style synths as I could. The piano chord stabs just came naturally after. "

Ann Clue’s latest EP „Analogic“ received great feedback in all music stores and has been streamed a lot. After she played numerous big festivals and famous club gigs such as Awakenings, Ushuaïa Ibiza, and Warung in Brazil in the past year, she recently did an awesome tour with gigs in Australia and New-Caledonia. 

The name of her latest single "Faith" was not chosen by chance. Ann Clue knows how hard it is not to lose faith in yourself. She knows that it is important to believe in yourself constantly and to believe that you can create something extraordinary. 

Exactly out of this feeling this powerful track arised. After she had internalized this thought, something special happened to her musically! She wanted to just take a step further, get started, keep going, while she was in tune with herself and see what came of it. Out of powerful thoughts, powerful beats were created here. The track allows you to take an honest journey within yourself and to gather strength to find the belief in yourself again.

The haunting kick leads to a strong longing for a long night in a dark club with strobe light; A night in which one can gather new energy. -New energy, which one draws from the music. 

This special talent makes Ann Clue an extraordinary artist. She has the gift of helping people regain their strength through music.
