Kydus exploded onto the tech house scene this Summer with his incredible Circus release ‘Translantic’ which saw DJ’s from every corner of the Globe and multiple genres providing support. He then spent his Summer on the magical island of Ibiza and penned an armory of new tracks, this is where his debut Trax EP was born.

‘Into The Storm’ is a peak-time tech houser with insane builds and sold tech grooves whilst ‘Working It’ brings a low-slung bass line and a hypnotic groove to create the perfect B-side.

The Shapeshifters return to Glitterbox with their stunning dancefloor belter ‘Try My Love (On For Size)’, this time along with a classic disco remix by Dr Packer. Teni Tinks, a session vocalist and arranger who has worked with the likes of Rudimental, Quincy Jones and The Jacksons, lays down fresh vocals on the Sharon Redd anthem from 1980, now laden with fresh horns, strings and arrangement on the Club Mix. The king of disco re-edits Dr Packer slows the composition down, highlighting the impressive instrumental with filtered vocals beneath for a more classic sounding version of this wonderfully life-affirming record.

Running Back & Dusky proudly present Life Signs Vol. 1. The band that brought you the fabulous remix for KiNk’s „Perth“ lavishly donate a whole EP to Running Back. And it has all the classic trademark sounds we cherish them for: British bass science applied on classic house tropes, breakbeats underpin transcendent melodies, IDM meets UKG. The sounds of Guerilla records, Northern Exposure and the mash-up aesthetics of early Rage parties all echo through the ranks. All of it expertly executed and as much fun to listen to as to play it out. But handing the microphone over to the band themselves:

The best things are always worth waiting for. Having buzzed off the same parties and dug from the same Dutch record store crates for many years, old friends Michel De Hey and Boris Ross finally collide in the studio and the result is this stone-cold summer weapon: 'If You Know You Know'.

Know this: Everything about this track is designed for impact. Pulverising bass/kick plunges, stately hypnotic acid tweaks and a sense of weight and breadth that could have arenas the size of South Wales trembling to the core, its the perfect house/tech hybrid that could work across all dance floor scenarios. And it comes from a studio alliance formed over Rotterdam's best Surinamese sandwiches. 

With Boris fresh from a Baggi collab on Desolat and Michels Steve Silk Hurly homage still doing serious damage on Rejected, 'If You Know You Know' is the latest in a rich vein of heavily supported cuts from both individuals. From laidback house vibes to soaring techno, the sixth instalment of the Picture series covers the artists’ full spectrum. 

Diynamic Music’s „Picture:“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. “Picture:” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

After teaming up with Jamie Jones to release ‘Rushing’ earlier this summer, Darius Syrossian returns to Defected for his latest musical output. ‘Come On Come On’ sees the DO NOT SLEEP resident flex his musical muscles by exploring a range of influences throughout, engineering the same soulful vocal sample to provide two genre-defying cuts. Opening with ‘Kouka’, a track that rumbles through with its intensified bass and tension building drops set to rock the most intense of sound-systems, while the vocal interlude at its centre adds diversity and intrigue. This is followed with the title track, where Darius delivers a dose of upbeat driving house, with a rubbery bouncing bassline and a chopped-up version of the vocal, delivering serious end-of-summer vibes. By exploring a number of avenues of sound with the same sample, ‘Come On Come On’ shows Darius’ breadth of musical knowledge, with a release that will keep a crowd on their toes.
