"I Want To Be Free" is named after the thought of wanting to be free; to think and act upon your own inner instinct rather than being (in)formed by the opinion of the media or random other people. It doesn't reflect that you don't need other people, but that you have the freedom to choose who is around you and who you trust your reality with.
