Aber Pit und Skadi haben erst 2002 das Zepter in die Hand genommen, und aus dem Animierschuppen einen Club für elektronische Tanzmusik gemacht, und seit der Corona-Krise zur Bar ab 20h.

Vor Gewittern mit Starkregen seid ihr im Palais sicher, nicht aber vor unserem “Bretta Paletta”-Donnerwetter, das wir heute, am 19. August, wieder mal niedergehen lassen. Mit Hochdruck und sonnigem Gemüt gehen in dieser Nacht Carlos Mendes und Sandra Gold ans Werk. Der gebürtige Portugiese, mit Wahlheimat München und mit Barcelona als persönlichem Hotspot, wird uns zeigen, dass sein Label “Disko Massaka” den Namen nicht umsonst trägt. Disco steckt auch bei Discotribe-Veranstalterin Sandra Gold gerne mal drinnen, es darf aber auch jederzeit ein Techhouse-Brett sein – wie z.B. ihr neuester Release “Side by side” auf Solaris Records, ein klasse Zusammenspiel zwischen ihr und Roberto Q. Ingram. Die Palette unserer DJs komplettiert an diesem Abend Leon Haller, der das Warm-up übernimmt und beim Auflegen gerne die Genres wechselt, indem er ständig unberechenbare Asse aus dem Ärmel zaubert. Gut so, denn Zauber ist unser Motto, zaudern und schaudern überlassen wir anderen…

Nach ihrem fabelhaften Back-2-Back Set mit DISCOTRIBE-Kollege Ricardo Pielok Ende November bebte der Dancefloor erneut in unserer Silvesternacht.

Influenced by the electronic sound of the mid-90s with progressive and minimal sounds, paired with a wonderfully dry bassline, Tom Tellar’s musical style has developed over the years and sounds simply unique with spherical expanses and melodic riffs. The extensive spectrum of music that has accompanied him from his early days to the present should turn into enthusiasm for each individual, so that the feeling is expressed in every bar and every rhythm on the dance floor. The combination of old and new makes his style a timeless journey of a special kind. Passion for electronic music and the constant drive to inspire others too have always made him look beyond his own "plate".

Tom Tellar has played in renowned clubs such as the old Nachtwerk Club (ElDel), Strobe, Goodstuff, Fortuna, Grinsekatze and the Palais in Munich, which is known far beyond Germany's borders. With artist collectives such as Comm of D, BSVSMG, Discotribe and the Expressen Movement Kollektiv, where Tom has been an important part for many years, not only as a DJ, he was able to demonstrate his growing portfolio with DJ gigs and countless mix podcasts. Various guest appearances abroad characterize the now 30 years of experience with a lot of love and perfection in detail, which Tom can see in each of his sets. The aim is to let the passion for music that he discovered early on continue to grow in order to continue to inspire his audience in the future.

Hohen Besuch aus dem Berliner Techno-Reservat erwartet Sandra Gold am 20. November bei ihrer Discotribe-Party im Palais. Benno Blome, seines Zeichens Chef von Sender Records, lässt mal wieder reduzierten, straighten Hauptstadt-Sound in München erklingen. Seine Plattentasche ist stets prall gefüllt, sei es mit eigenen Releases und Kooperationen mit Größen wie Tigerskin, Baby Ford oder A Guy Called Gerald oder mit dem neuesten Minimal-Stoff anderer Kollegen. Der frühere Resident-DJ der legendären Bar25 beweist beim Auflegen stets ein gutes Händchen, wenn es darum geht, die Tanzfläche vollends zu elektrisieren. 

Selbiges gelingt auch Gastgeberin Sandra Gold immer ganz wunderbar, wobei sie eher Deep House, Nu Disco, Tribal Beats und lang nicht mehr gehörte Klassiker als Zaubermittel einsetzt. Ebenfalls zum Stamm der Discotribe-Indianer zählen in dieser Nacht Steffen Lengler und Icke Lichtenberg. Steffen ist vielen vom DJ-Duo Salzer n‘ Lengler und von Gigs früheren Gigs im Palais, im Bullitt, im Tante Erna und im Pimpernel ein Begriff. Seine Sets wandeln für gewöhnlich auf den Pfaden zwischen Deep und Techhouse. Und Icke Lichtenberg ist, wie man am Vornamen schon erahnen kann, gebürtiger Berliner, der inzwischen in München heimisch geworden ist. Er ist in den 90er Jahren mit Vocal-, Garage- und Discohouse groß geworden, was sich durchaus auch in seinen Sets widerspiegelt. Wer auf Techno oder Minimal steht, ist bei ihm an der falschen Adresse. Bevorzugt man dagegen melodischen, treibenden House-Sound, kommt man voll auf seine Kosten.

Percussion Grooves that make you move and catchy melodies that’ll be stuck in your head are the base for every musical outlet of the German duo. It started with the funky flavour vinyl set from A lizard called A, over Ricardo Pielok’s pumping Tech-House Groove to the Highlight „Raumakustik“.

When i started my DJ-Set after Raumakustik, i felt that it will be one of that special magical nights and moments, you don't have every day…
i can’t remember when i had something similar…. It seems like everybody was into the music and their body’s in tune - like notes on a Song-Sheet. So i went with the flow, mixed on the fly and took us on a Journey with a bunch of special breaks, selected classics, rollin' Basslines… 🎶 Yes, WE HAD A GREAT TIME! AMAZING - „Music connects people in ways that no other medium can.“ Macklemore

DISCOTRIBE events have been around for 7 years now, as well as their own DISCOTRIBE podcast, featuring guest DJs and the resident crew. And if Sandra is not on tour with DISCOTRIBE, you'll find her pretty often at the Munich Palais Club on the decks and pushing the mood on the floor. As reliable as a Swiss watch, she delivers the highest quality to the dancefloor and has been resident DJ for more than a decade now.

Self-Portrait: "My name is Sandra Gold, I have been in the electronic music scene for 30 years. Over the years I have created and produced a variety of styles, mostly electronically. However, I always kept the groove & vibe, so my development had a consistent component. Or in other words - no matter what style I play, be it techno, house or funk, the way I create my dj-sets, send the dancefloor on a journey, should be recognizable again and that's makes me and my music."
