"Good Morning, Bad Blood" is the new EP from Sandra's Wedding. The Goole based four piece released their debut album "Northern Powerhouse" in February 2017, which was well received by reviewers. GigSlutz stated the album was "worthy of wider acclaim" while BBC Introducing North Yorkshire's Jericho Keys described the record as sounding like a "cross between The Smiths and The Beautiful South," with the band subsequently invited to perform a BBC Introducing live session on the show. 

The sepia tinged songs on the album address love, loss and life in industrial towns across the North of England, with guitarist Jonny Hughes telling one newspaper that the group and lyricist Joe Hodgson try to write songs with lyrics that people can identify with, telling stories about residing and experiencing life in Northern, working class areas.

"Good Morning, Bad Blood" deals with similar themes to its' predecessor with love, the complexities of relationships and the mundane side of romance all running strongly through the four tracks. Produced by Dan Foster at Hull's Element Studios and mastered by Pete Maher, it is available digitally to buy and stream from Friday 17th August on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play plus a limited run on vinyl.

Drawing comparisons with iconic northern guitar bands like The Housemartins and The Smiths, Sandra’s Wedding are a Goole-based band who wear their working class routes firmly on their sleeves.

With catchy songs full of bright, jangly guitars and clever lyrics about northern life, the band’s 2017 debut album ‘Northern Powerhouse’ and 2018 follow-up EP ‘Good Morning, Bad Blood’ were both met with rave reviews.

The group released their eagerly-awaited new album ‘Frame Yourself’ in Spring 2020 and planned to take the songs on tour. However, with lockdown restrictions the band decided to use the time productively and recorded a sooner than expected follow up album entitled 'Banana Bread.' The self recorded release is an exclusive download from their Bandcamp page.
