He who’s become an absolute gem trader over the years through a string of epoch-making efforts, including the time-proof masterpiece that is “Decay” in 2014, drops by to grace us with a mesmeric Xmas tale by way of waving goodbye to 2022. Extruding elements of techno deepness out their usual cast to mingle them with that exploratory, jazz-inflected approach of his - subtly pairing the lingering beauty of stretched-out synths with that of free-flowing 4x4 grooves and haunting melodies, Efdemin entices us on a path of delectably focused and flavourful techno sensibility. Rural is always a special event for me. Playing in the Japanese mountains in front of my friends, it means a lot. Last year I was on the Sunday night, full of stars, in between Function and Alessandro Cortini. With a 3 hour slot, I had the chance to dive deep and do what I wanted.
