Trading commodities subject to wear and tear
A new hypothesis that a reversed Babel is happening, is happening

From a high tower they tell you to forget the past
Books give the power to whom can seize it fast
A nation is over and on its ashes another one is born again

In the same way languages die again
Not much dismay for the populations' pain
When publishing houses homogenize the sounds connecting them, connecting them

Imagined communities expression of an empire
That throws our amenities into a burning pyre
Innate superiority compelling everyone to compromise his culture

Stardust is what we are, no matter what our creed is

Freaking awesome! More than trucks and cars that blew this world down to bits

You make a rapid calculation and find out it wasn't a long while
Since the time that you were hooked out there
Hydrogen and helium stacked in a pile

We used to be stardust, we shone of our own light
Now we're blinded by the sun, the smallest of them all

What I See

The more you will try to show me the way
The more you will end up pulling me away
Away from the answer, enlightenment or kingdom
Call it peace of mind or absolute wisdom

I won't buy what you tell me when you talk of a place
That is meant to be home for the whole human race
I care more about the equality of all men

What I see became the reality over which I built my mentality
What I see is not metaphysical but it's basically just empirical
Why should I spend my time wasting time,
When I ain't got no time to waste my time?

You can live you life in the hope of a new one that will come
Waiting for someone else with the key to the door
The things I've been told I don't wanna take for granted no more
A life that has been already written sounds like a dead bore

What If We Had Fallen

I don't remember how we met, but does it really matter?
It's just a glimpse at the past growing bigger and bigger in your memory
We were having fun and thought that we weren't ready
We were cruising through that phase just like most of the people we know
And like them we had to put on our show

What if we had fallen for each other at the time 
When we couldn't tell the difference 'tween a lemon and a lime?
I like to think we'd burn the candle way too fast
And be left with a pile of regrets over the past

Wishful thinking, over drinking,

Possibilities creep in with their buts and ifs
But with them someone said you will never have the strength to make history
Like it happens in some books, when you make up the ending
We just choose to look at things that we want to be the enhancers to our love
So we have them play the main role in our show
