The creative director and producer of the project is the Ukrainian musician and artist @Histibe, who produced the main demo track and part of the samples for this collection. Maks Histibe is a music producer and sound designer who has been doing his own thing for the past fifteen years. He has created many exciting new electronic compositions which have been published by the likes of world-renowned platforms such as Complex, Future Music Magazine, MusicRadar, JAY Z's Life+Times, UKF, DJ Mag, Dezeen, AskAudio, and BBC. This sample pack has been written by @Forest-People who is one of the main figures in Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to techno.  He creates music for many respected labels like Planet Rhythm, Flash Recordings, Driving Forces, Tic Tac Toe, Credo, and many more. Imagine The Beatles met Bon Iver to create an album or soundtrack for a movie! Mask Movement Samples and Histibe are proud to present the No War - Indie Rock sample pack - a collection of 37 original mini songs in the form of construction kits, including melodic and rock guitars, deep and ambient drums mixed with cinematic effects. They can all be widely used for writing songs, electronic music, and movie soundtracks. With a large number of individual loops and one-shots, they can be efficiently used to create hip hop beats or sound design for multi-media projects too.

We want to take the "No War" movement from the '60s and '70s and reflect on its relevance now through independent rock music. This sample pack is produced by Ukrainian musician and artist Histibe in cooperation with Armenian composer Arman Mkhitarian. The main body of the project took place in Ukraine during the war in 2022. The message of peace and humanity is very important now. Step by step, listening to the sample pack, you will find minor, melancholy, and deep motives, mixed with epic inspiring melodies. With this project, we want to say that war is pain and suffering, and music has no boundaries and has the power to unite people for peaceful purposes.

Drawing influence from bands such as Coldplay, Nirvana, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Kadebostany, Beirut, and Fazerdaze, plus artists including James Blake, Novo Amor, James Bay, Thom Yorke, Lykke Li, and Grimes, this is a unique collection of construction kits that can be used jointly as mini songs for further development of complete musical compositions or used separately as additional samples. You can easily mix them with for hip hop, house, breakbeat, techno, and many other genres to add a unique touch to your music.

This sample pack contains mostly guitars. However, it also has a highly useful number of drum loops and a set of additional live instruments, such as basslines, pianos, strings, and so on. You will find 200+ long music loops (in the form of 37 construction kits) as well as 200+ one-shot drum samples, guitar stabs, and special effects. This is the story of an instrument wrought from the raw sounds of war and moments of everyday life under its shadow. Recorded in Kyiv and the Carpathian Mountains during the spring of 2022 by Ukrainian artist Histibe. Sound designed and crafted into a living virtual instrument. Swords to Ploughshares is a concept in which military weapons are converted for peaceful civilian applications.

This library offers the artist’s unique vantage point during a transformative place and time in their life and the world around them. His goal is to transmute an act of oppression into a tool for expression. It is not meant to be a definitive, unbiased, unvarnished or complete representation of the artist’s entire experience or those around him. It is intended as a work of constructive and reusable sonic art. It is a dim and hazy window into another human’s personal experience, crafted with the simple hope that it serves and inspires your own creative process.

It includes field recordings made in and around his hometown and during a temporary evacuation in the mountains during the heaviest period of shelling near his house. The subject matter includes the everyday sounds of his life and his city, quickly adapting to war time and often punctuated by blasts and the wail of air raid sirens. It explores the gentle sounds of nature in the mountains made all the more surreal by eerily distorted late-night shortwave radio broadcasts filling the airwaves.
