This week's TANK Mix comes from multidisciplinary artist Richie Culver, whose work examines masculinity, the British class system and the confines of technology. He recently released “Alive in the living room - على قيد الحياة في غرفة القعدة”,  a 27-min sound mass and handwritten hymnbook, released on Drowned by Locals. He said of his mix: “The mix was an improvised piece mixing various artists from the North of England, a few of my own pieces alongside some live moments and tracks that I have enjoyed playing out this year.”

For a new episode of our regular ethereal mixes, we invited audiovisual artist Manuel Sékou, also operating under the moniker luxxuryproblems.

The artist’s mixes appear to a listener as diaries of subtle, seemingly tangible sensations and labyrinths of images. In the new material, he layers microtunes onto texture-rich fragments, as if breaking the recording into a series of successive frames.

Previously, luxxuryproblems was published on labels such as SPA, 76666 and Gem Tones, and has also contributed tracks to compilations from Katharsis, Sirens, World Canvas, Comic Sans and Infinito Audio. Two years ago, his latest mini-album “Flexfit” was released on SPA.
