If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Tom Robinson messaged me!! "Really interesting approach on your new song "Out Of My Hair" in this week's inbox, Helen. That tough, spiky guitar locks right in with the drums & gives the track some real bite. And is that a clavinet in there? Anyway - great direction to be heading in!"

Super exciting to get this feedback. Really pushing my personal comfort zones by actually having my voice on a track! Out of My Hair is coming out as a single on 29th October 2021. And the first that I have sung on myself!!! There's another five tracks on the EP, out Nov 5th, called Rhythm Rising.

This past year has been an absolute voyage of discovery for me and an exploration of my personal creativity and I've been thrilled at the support I've received, especially as I started this in my mid fifties. I have no idea how far I can take this but you can be assured that I will not stop creating and sharing my music with whomever is prepared to do me the honour of listening!

This track will have a rather psychedelic video too, so keep an eye out for that if you like the track.
