I spread out my hands to You; Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit. Alleluia. Into Your hand I commit my spirit, You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth. Alleluia.

We beseech our Lord and God, that we may be worthy to hear the holy Gospel. In wisdom, let us listen to the holy Gospel.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; again in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna to the Son of David; again to the Son of David.

Hosanna in the highest; again in the highest.

Hosanna to the King of Israel; again to the King of Israel.

Glory be to our God; again glory be to our God.

Evlogimenos- Coptic

Holy is the Father, the King, who observes our humility and who is the essence of glory with the Holy Spirit.

Just is the Father, our Supporter in our weaknesses for the sake of the heavenly life, with the Holy Spirit.

Praise belongs to the Father, the Treasure of our humility, and Jesus the heavenly and the Holy Spirit.

The Lord the Father, who speaks in the heavenly truth who took the form of our humility, with the Holy Spirit.

Honored is the Father who rejoices because of our humility, the heavenly truth, with the Holy Spirit.

The Shepherd is the Father who speaks for the sake of our tribulations, the heavenly Cross, with the Holy Spirit.

Honored is the Father, who shines over our tribulations, with the heavenly light, with the Holy Spirit.

Joy is with the Father at all time, who rejoices in our humility, and the heavenly truth, with the Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God have mercy on me a sinner

"Say the prayer. “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.”

Say each word one by one with attention, with understanding.

Do not proceed to the second word if you have not comprehended the first.

Emphasize the ending more: "have mercy on me.”

Now there will come at first listlessness, sleepiness, restlessness, and carelessness but be quick to pull yourself together.

When you say the prayer, consider yourself now at the beginning, that you are in hell and crying loudly, asking for the mercy of God.

Distance yourself from despair, hopelessness and similar feelings.

During prayer, do not admit any imagination, form, or image of the Holy Virgin and of Christ or any other saint, nor should you see the words of the prayer noetically.
