Interwoven (Winter Mix)

Nurko is one of the fastest rising artists in the scene today and it only takes listening to a handful of his tunes to see why. Early releases like "Goodbye" and "Your Embrace" set the tone for the soundscapes he could create, while he continued to impress with "Disappearing Now" with Chandler Leighton and "Hallejulah" with Devon Baldwin as well. 

Last month, Nurko dropped the details for his forthcoming EP, Arrival, and gave his growing fanbase some insight into the meaning, story, and symbol of his project as well. Further, he announced that he is set to embark on a US tour that will kick off on March 10 in Portland and take him to cities like New Orleans, Tampa, Dallas, and more.

This past week, Nurko continued to build up the hype for what's to come on the Arrival EP with the latest single to surface, "Lost Without You." Out now via Proximity, this tune sees him team up with fellow rising artists Crystal Skies and KnownAsNat to offer up another sensational track that's dripping with emotion. To celebrate that release and the forthcoming tour, Nurko spun up a mix for the Winter Waveforms series that will surely fill any craving for melodic bass you might have.

Picked up FL Studio about 3 weeks ago because I’ve always loved the idea of telling stories and inflicting certain emotions through music.  🥹

As someone who’s gone to festivals and listened to SOO many EDM mixes on SoundCloud (shoutout @M3NGO, @Karmaxiss, and @HD1080pmusic), I also learned to appreciate the art of remixing and mashing up songs that you never thought you needed!

This mix began as a simple mashup of like 3 of my fav songs, but the ideas kept flowing and eventually it got to a point at where I was like “fuck it, might as well finish it” LOL.  Hope you all enjoy getting in your feels! ❤️

Illenium was the first EDM artist I ever saw live in 2019 for Ascend.  It was literally way up in like the 400 section or something LOL, but it was a life-changing experience for me.  It opened my eyes to raving & electronic music and I can't imagine my life without either.  🥹

Well, I dug deep to capture the 3 emotions you experienced in the following days, weeks, months, or years:

ANGER — because they showed you that you weren’t good enough for them to stay.
SADNESS — because you started to BELIEVE that you weren’t good enough for them to stay.
HOPE — because despite how decisively things ended (closure or not), you still felt that they hadn’t.

It doesn’t matter if it was a 6 year relationship, 1 year relationship, or short fling — heartbreak is real and cannot be trivialized by a measure of time. Your emotions are valid. The fact that you became so invested shows that you’re a caring person who deserves more.
