Know in Ayrshire as “The Big Man with the Big Voice”, I am a Scottish singer-songwriter based in Ayrshire.

I’ve been playing around the pubs of Ayrshire at open mikes for years, but I've recently started buckling down and begun performing in a more structured capacity. I’ve recently played at the Buzzworks After Dark sessions in the Treehouse in Ayr, sung a well-received set in McCabes in Largs and have appeared at various folk clubs in the area. Recent highlights include a prime slot at Ayr Beer Festival and headline performing at songwriters' showcases at Ayr Blues Club and Acoustic Bliss at the Twa Dugs. Can be seen there on many a Thursday late night or on Sunday after tea time (obviously). 


I have a small, devoted and growing fanbase, and I am in the process of releasing a an EP of my own songs. As a devotee of artists like John Prine and Townes Van Zandt;  and a fan of folk singers closer to home like Nic Jones and the massive talent of Hamich Imlach, I have no problem in engaging a crowd for a set.

I consider myself suitable for any acoustic, roots or blues gatherings and even unplugged I can fill any room with my noise. Any deep blues, singalong favourites, good rowdy sea shanties, and the odd sincere murder ballad can be played to any space
