Evie is an Eora / Sydney-based selector navigating all eras of dance music, making way through elements of balearic, street soul, dream pop and new wave to pair the nostalgic with the contemporary.

Evie has appeared at venues including Brilliant Corners (UK), The Sydney Opera House and featured with guest mixes on Skylab Radio, FBi Radio and Balamii. She also holds a 2023 residency at Eora’s own Club 77. 

Shaping a sound that is uniquely her own, Evie has landed slots alongside Soichi Terada, Pender Street Steppers, Paula Tape, Jex Opolis and locally with Mike Who, Caravan, Adi Toohey and Lauren Hansom.

H.A.N.D. MIX 048 EVIE

For the first mix of 2024, we welcome ffan, the owner of Seoul's club NYAPI, who is active as a DJ mainly in Asia, and is bridging South Korea, Japan and the next generation of the Asian house and disco scene. This mix is a live from October last year at MITSUKI in Tokyo. Maintaining groove and tension, blending old to new, he will take you to his immersive zone, and will not let you go till the end. Mixée avec amour par Alain Pastish

Une énième tape de french boogie… eh ouais mais celle-ci c'est la mienne...
La France Fonk vient d'une époque d'une vacuité totale, elle puait l'oseille et les soucis étaient encore bien loin.
Tapie exhortait à réussir sa vie, tandis que Bouygues bétonnait tranquille ce qu'il y avait de betonnable. 
Tantôt stupide, tantôt arrogante, la France Fonk dégeule le fric et quand la crise pointe le bout de son nez, elle se sniffe allègrement l'héroïne chic dans les folles nuits coquines.
 
Ça drague sec, son ambassadrice, et accessoirement  fantasme ultime, s'appelle Muriel Moreno. 
La musique n'était pas en reste, mièvre à souhait, à l'égocentrisme poussé à son extrême, elle s'accompagne avec légéreté  d'une bonne grosse funk à basse bien grasses  comme on l'aime. 

Elle connait les sales histoires, les black mic mac, les raconte à merveille, sa femme s'appelle revient, et pour cent brique elle a plus rien mais si elle sent qu'elle va craquer, elle appelle Pinot simple flic.
Entre jeux de mot pourris et humour de merde, ça sonnait grave, France Fonk était surtout très bien produite. 
Parce derrière c'était pas des rigolpinces, Pezin, Schulteiss, Malia, Wisniak, Borowski…autant de tueurs à gages qui se sont laissés tenter le fonk.
Un brin de legereté ça fait pas de mal par les temps qui courent.
100% ringardos et maxi classe!

Of late, Jad made some serious noise with his 4 track 'Skates on the S-Bahn' EP on Brisbane imprint "Centre Source' which further ratified the surge of talent emerging from down under right about now.

Starting off gently, Jad takes you on an encyclopedic voyage of his favourite jams, gathering momentum and punch as it evolves - evoking recollections of dusty summer evenings and everything that befalls after.
