something strange!

Back to our mix series with this wonderful offering from Marijana Croon.  Originally from Belgrade but now based in Cologne, Marijana is a molecular biologist as well as a vibrant member of her local scene. In normal times she can be found DJing in places like Salon des Amateurs and Acephale and hosting her radio show 'Deflections' on Retreat Radio. 

Her Phase Group mix fuses otherworldly sound designs with echoing percussion pieces and slow dark club music for the twilight hours, futuristic synthesised environments dripping with reverb and long echoes inducing trance states and transcendence. Thanks Marijana!

Our latest episode of the Theory Therapy show features a guest mix from Australian multi-instrumentalist Santilli. Max is one of our favourite musicians and selectors around and it’s easy to see why when you get to his incredible mix in the second hour of the show. Last year, he released one of the most inspiring pieces of music to come out of 2020—Kaoru Inoue also seems to agree—on Greville’s Mad Habitat and put out a bunch of amazing mixes, including one for us, so it was an absolute pleasure to have him contribute to Low End Theorists again. He also just released a new Angophora track with Jake Fugar on Music For Dreams which is absolutely amazing.

For the first 60, it’s us with an hour of meditative ambient and jazz, inspired by a trip to Seal Rocks in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. There’s new music from Alex Albrecht’s forthcoming Campfire Stories, Zeitgeist & Tucceri’s JIN MU and Vancouver-based producer wzrdryAV’s Midnight Visions.
