It is a difficult time to be transgender in the united states. As trans people we have been exposed to more and more hatred over the past year and things are seemingly only getting worse. It can be really hard not to internalize all of the horribleness. That's why I wrote this song. It's a reminder to me and other trans people that we are valid and that we will persist.

Hi, I'm sans-e! I make unapologetically defiant music that makes people feel powerful, confident, and sexy.

I am transgender (she/her) and my experiences during transition play a large role in my music.

When I began my public transition in 2018, I lost some family and "friends" who refused to accept me for who I was. This didn't stop me.

On the contrary, it strengthened my resolve and showed me what I was willing to sacrifice and put myself through in order to be accepted for who I really am.

My transition gave me a lot to be angry about and a lot to say...I looked to music to find my strength.

Listening to an eclectic mix of confident and empowering artists, cis- and transgender alike, was how I made it through this difficult period.

Today, I create empowering music with attitude that calls out toxicity and flips it on its head.
Whether taking on issues of religion, sex, or how queer identities are perceived by society - I don't shy away from taking on sensitive topics in a powerful way.
