This one sums up and encapsulates my 3 phases of music production influence. It’s based in the motown inspired hip hop sampling I started with. It then pulls from the lyric writing I got into recently and is finally mashed with my affection towards epic EDM bangers! Let’s Fucking GO!

I wrote and recorded this album over the past several months and each of its tracks comes from a different facet of my life. A lot of stories and dreams coming together to create a larger project. So much has happened since I first started making these tracks that when I listen to them now, they seem like snapshots from completely different times. I wondered when I’d be comfortable enough to let these go. Well, we’re finally here, and I’m so happy to say that this music will no longer just be mine, but ours to share.

Sam Day - Closer To You

'Take Me There' captures a feeling of nostalgia and an intense, longing desire to go back in time. Thinking about the past in relation to the present can be overwhelming and painful. That ache and yearning to return to a former self or moment in time is often driven by a dissatisfaction with who or where we are now. We wanted to express this by having the soft, atmospheric pads of the intro guide the listeners back to the past before exploding into the distorted, melodic, dance-focused elements of the drops that represent the return to a time lost.
