Rhapsody is one of my first substantial pieces and is mainly influenced by music of Rachmaninov and Godowsky. Many parts of the piece sounds as if it was an improvisation to resemble the tradition of jazz and to add to the variety and colour of the composition. 
Although, there are no tempo restrictions, my only motivation for each section is to freely express the surprising element of never ending chord progressions and constant change of musical material.

Rhapsody Excerpt

This is a second movement of Rhapsody. This movement was intended to have less intensity with only several outbursts. It is supposed to resemble several composers, including Schubert and Mendelsohn. In general, I enjoy writing music in a non structured way so, therefore, this was more of a challenge to me.
