A Brief Utopia (A project by Jinjé) A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike.A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. Drawing on a love of music from around the world focused through a lens of live drumming, tuned percussion and psychedelic synth work.

For his remix contribution to Neovinyl's latest V/A, Till Von Sein fattens up the groove with a big kick and 808-layered clap, laying down some extra hats to formalize this as a heavier-use remix. Gone is the looser, sample-based bassline of the original - replaced by a more controlled, driving synth bass under the sweet guitar strums. The track builds towards it's climax via some afro-brazilian drum breaks and vocal samples, before dropping into a tighter interpolation of arguably the tastiest sample from Babak's piece. It's a delicate and playful lead that rides the song to it's conclusion. All in all, a short but sugary arrangement that could do wonders slid in as a change of pace during a peak hour set.

R.Kitt is not a man of half measures. His approach to making tracks is all about an obsession with the philosophy of a dancefloor and how to communicate that in a musical moment. The result is Tingle, a fully realised four track EP, showcasing unique slices of soulful house, progressive yet warmly familiar.

First track Breakboy opens almost introspectively and transitions to something far more rhythmic and repetitive based around a pulsating, hypnotic vocal courtesy of RBMA graduate Jennifer Moore. 

Tingle is distributed through Lobster Distribution and is available to preorder from Friday 19th of Jan. It is R.Kitt’s 2nd release following his debut on All City Imprint- Pear. It is also the 2nd release for new Dublin/Berlin based label - Goldbrick Records.

New EP from Ethyène showcasing a raising maturity in his discography. Drawing samples from library music, dub, soul and R&B, this record delivers everything House Music has to, deepness, groove, love and sincerity. No need to say that by launching a new imprint Ethyène decided to show a different side from his previous work. We can definitely feel it from the first second the record starts, with Static, mashing up samples from 80's dub music and west-coast funk to finally sound as a surprising modernized classic house anthem. The second track of the record 'Enove Lough' features a deconstructed and mysterious Rhodes loop delivering a smart groove until a delightful sexy vocal sample get in the mix to round off this deeper but easily danceable cut. The B-side of the record starts with 'Cape Town Mambo', a tune whose graceful horns loop keeps the listeners on an endless dreamy trip while its mid-tempo jazzy beat will have them hips sensually shaking without any doubt. The record has its consistency assured with ending on a 100 BPM powerful hip-hop beat with high-pitched and happy vocals as the Nirvana of this 4 tracks sensual and groovy journey.
