Blood in Blood Out is a story about the perils of drug dealing and drug abuse that has a chilling personal touch to it. This is a very riveting tale of street life that touches the heart. The album attempts to bring back the golden era boombap sound of New York hip hop in the 90's, with sharp, clever emceeing by Newport News' Awon and smooth, jazzy production by Portland producer Phoniks.

Awon is an American underground hip hop artist who is currently making a name for himself amongst the international hip hop community. Most known for his Goon Trax debut, Beautiful Loser, Awon is also part of the group Awon & Kameleon Beats and a member of the hip hop collective, The Soul Students. Awon has worked on various works with Thomas Prime on Waiting for Tomorrow, and Love Supersedes II.

Phoniks is a 22 year old up and coming producer from Portland who has built a reputation online for his series of hip hop remix albums with classic/old school flare, 2011's "The Tape" and 2013's "Basement Vibes" and "Make Beats, Don't Sleep" have achieved success both domestically and internationally through his Bandcamp website. He has been featured on a number of hip hop blogs and magazines including Respect Mag, gripsquad.com,ughh.com, and whudat.de.

You order a double espresso and I am thinking about what to say to you. Neil Strauss has the openers but I´m a Frank Capra kind of guy. Our first dialog has to be exquisite in every possible way. 
Now you are looking my way again and I can tell from your smile that you read my mind. Cliches echo in my head as I stand. "I don't even know your name, can I call you mine?" I push that red chair back in and push my self to take those first steps towards you

At the controls for Ira Atari's album, collaborational efforts with Egotronic and Plemo, several compilation features and remixes for artists like Conjure One, pandoras.box, Bratze, Supershirt, Kidstreet and others under his belt plus remarkable solo tracks on both volumes of our „Stiff Little Spinners“ series show that this man is driven by force. And so does „Sonne, Park und Sterni“ which is a sweet, melodic trip into the realms of positive TechHouse vibes, serving a seductive leitmotif and thrilling, cut-up vocal wizzardry adding a bit of extra spice to the playful loveliness that is surely influenced by Berlin's vibrant open air rave movement.
