Continuing the sequence of releases from Cocada Music that anticipate his upcoming album set for December, Leo Janeiro presents Redentor, one of the most vibrant tracks in this journey so far.

Aimed at the dance floor, the track blends the energy and swing of carioca house with the elegance of jazz harmonies. Born from Leo’s collaboration with musician and producer Jon Dixon, it echoes a creative dialogue between two worlds that complement each other: the sunlit soul of Rio and the sophisticated pulse of Detroit’s scene. The genius of the arrangement reveals their shared ability to turn depth into fluidity, balancing emotion and technique in a composition that unfolds with every listen.

A pianist, producer, and founder of the 4EVR 4WRD label, Jon Dixon is one of the leading figures in Detroit’s contemporary scene. Trained in jazz and with past involvement in historic projects such as Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline (from Underground Resistance), Dixon has collaborated with legends including Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Derrick May, and Amp Fiddler, while leading initiatives that merge jazz and electronic music under the concept of Hi-Tech Jazz. Redentor features a vibrant arrangement, with piano lines that echo the essence of Detroit jazz, while the groove weaves in guitar riffs that bring a coastal freshness and beats that drive the track’s danceable energy. Subtle and mysterious vocal cuts add a touch of sensuality as the arrangement unfolds progressively, building emotion alongside the ascent of the piano melodies. The result is a balanced blend of soulful and deep tones - a track that encapsulates the dialogue between harmonic sophistication and the warm spirit of house music.

The fifth episode of the microcastle podcast welcomes label artists Chicola & Sahar Z. The Israeli duo have been at the heart of Tel Aviv's electronic music culture for the last 20 years. A collective discography including Bedrock, Lost & Found, Suara and Sudbeat, along with an increasingly busy gig schedule have made Chicola and Sahar two of the underground's most sought after talents. Their recently released 'It Happened One Night EP' enjoyed great success, earning support and play from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, Maceo Plex,  Agents of Time, Pig & Dan, Furcoat and more. The release went on to reach the #1 position in Beatport's electronica chart for six consecutive days, also reaching #6 in the overall Top 100 and #3 and #2 in Techno and Progressive House respectively. 

The art of music programming is somewhat lost in today's younger generation of DJs. Growing up and opening for Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Carl Craig has instilled this art form in the duos blood. It's something that in over two decades of DJing has remained a huge proponent of their sets. One where each and every gig is an unforgettable journey with electric vibes and captivating sound stories. Although not normally performing together, Chicola and Sahar have prepared a special 80 minute mix for their microcastle podcast. Beginning with an exclusive and unreleased intro version of the duo's 'It Happened One Night', the mix methodically works its way through deep grooves and warm ambient textures, ultimately building to more distinct motifs and melodious techno, before an emotive finale takes you home. Highlighting the mix are several unreleased projects along with a few selections from their recently released EP and a few surprises as well.
