INDEX0X0XL is the second release of our pan-sensory bouquet, distilled to provoke and whet our deepest of lusts. An atomised, sway-inducing solution to seduce and ensnare the most sated souls, thru an intoxicating rhapsody of notes – a Venus in slurs.

Fitting that a release bearing a title referring to an all-consuming state of infatuation would land on Valentines Day. Striking balance between soft and severe, ‘Limerence’ is a lament to unrequited love; a homage to the heart-broken among us.

Tugging hard on the heartstrings, our pick is no less tender for its restraint. String-fuelled, heart-in-mouth melodrama imbued with a sense of yearning.

Mona Hkl - La World Music n'existe pas (Octobre 2024)

Pour cette émission de rentrée, je propose de prendre le contre-pied de la saison passée, qui s’axait sur les sonorités de la nature. 
Au fil de cette nouvelle saison de « murmurations », l’accent sera mis sur les paysages sonores façonnés par l’humain.
En guise d’introduction, je vais explorer la thématique de la voiture.
La voiture, ou la caisse, la bagnole.
Celle qui nous fait fantasmer, celle où l&amp#39;on allume la radio au gré des routes sinueuses sans savoir ce qu&amp#39;on va trouver au bout des ondes, autant que celle cabossée qui nous transporte sur les autoroutes, 4 voies et autres pistes de rallyes.
J’ai conçu ce set comme un hommage sous forme de collage sonore à mon Kangoo usé, à l&amp#39;autoradio défaillant, mais avec qui j’ai vécu tant d’aventures.

Ka Baird is a performer, composer and sound designer based in New York City. They are known for their live performances which include extended voice and microphone techniques combined with electronics and psychoacoustic interplay of flutes and other woodwinds. They create a present tense sound with a vigorous, ritualistic delivery that seeks extreme release through physical exertion and psychic extension. They have worked/collaborated with many other musicians, artists, filmmakers and choreographers, both in structured compositions and in their dedicated practice of improvisation and interdisciplinary work.
