Million Dollar Man (Olympia)

Vocalist, composer, and electronic musician Charmaine Lee with commentary on and excerpts from four performances at the Roulette concert hall in Brooklyn from 2017-2021 with bits of the works Ceremony and Papillae, an appearance at the Resonant Bodies Festival, plus solos and collaborations with violist Joanna Mattrey, cellist Lester St. Louis, trumpeter Nate Wooley, and electronics with Conrad Tao. Raised by Hong Kong émigrés in Australia, educated at Princeton and New England Conservatory, Charmaine Lee is now a major contributor to the New York experimental music scene. A recipient of Roulette’s Van Lier Fellowship, Lee returns to Roulette as part of the Mixology Festival on 10 Feb. 2024.

Gavilán Rayna Russom is a visionary artist, scholar and curator based in New York City. Over the past two decades she has produced a complex body of works oriented towards providing alternatives to binary thought and fixed modes of categorization. In addition to her recorded music, performance work, DJing practice, published writings and exhibitions, Rayna is the founding director of Voluminous Arts, a cultural organization that creates space for transgender artists to create expansively.

Rat activated Deli Radio space drawing from her own memories growing up in Jamaica, Queens and the one corner store on the block that was kind of like the entire world. She will draw from a wide range of sources including found sound, field recordings, and music from artists within NYC's kaleidoscopic underground music scenes.

Rat Porridge is an outsider, no-discipline artist from Queens, New York. She plays with sound, video, found object, and performance, simultaneously reflecting and reshaping her surroundings.
