So I fell in love with someone I shouldn’t have, and now there’s a song about me pining for a man I had no business trying to woo. I am no longer pining for him, but some days I miss the life we all had before it happened. I’m sorry, you guys.

Fell for the dude who sold me my old Volvo sedan. We had a fun time for a while, but then it was time for me to leave Los Angeles. I drove home to kc via 70, so I drove thru Vegas during the day and it was a terrible sight to see. Here’s a song about some of it.

I went to college in Santa Fe for 15 months before deciding to drop out and move back to kc to play music with my friends who had started the Rural Grit Happy Hour. One of their heroic ambassadors came to bring me home, and here’s the song I wrote in anticipation of my return to the lush trees and flowing creeks of home.

Missouri Song

I used to sing backing vocals in a band called The Afterparty, and we participated in a Neil Young tribute where local bands would perform an entire album. We got On The Beach, and I sang For the Turnstiles. As I was learning the song, I just fell into a deep meditation, something that happens each time I play it. It’s a great album, and I love this song.
