iLHA is the new single from Canadian Madeiran Portuguese multidisciplinary artist Sarah Linhares. The music blends heavy bass, celestial & subtropical sounds with ephemeral and haunting voices that are deep, soulful and up-lifting. The song is part of her self produced EP Subtropical which will be released with a book of poetry in January 2024. 

The Story 
iLHA ( Island ) was inspired by Madeira Island where our artist lives. It tells a dark fairy tale of the spirit of the island. People are seduced by her beauty and fall under her spell.  She enslaves them with endless desire for the promise of paradise. 

Just as the full moon eclipse casts shadow on the moon and then reveals the truth,  iLHA reveals the sensuality of embracing the darkness and the illumination to be found within when you realize… 

Paradise is a state of mind. O paraíso não existe lá fora.
