So I took this picture of my son Elias and I a while back and thought it would make for a nice design for a mix session, did some editing then decided to put a mix together to fit the vibe of the design and this session is what came out. I think it's one of my most moving and diverse mix compositions thus far, spent a lot of time on it and truly put in my best effort to have it represent the artwork. The session rolls through some techy stuff, a fair amount of atmospheric, some jungly drums, a nice mix of uplifting tunes with a bit of a classic feel as well as a smooth section of rollers, finishing off with a couple soulful tunes from Gravity and Duoscience. In 2023 Mr Nitro spent 6 months traveling around Thailand & Cambodia soaking up the sun and the culture in a wide range of beautiful locations. In true 'Nitro style' he brought all his music and a mini controller so he was able to have a mix in all these far flung  locations and beautiful paradise beaches. During his travels he met loads beautiful people and found some great beach bars and clubs along the way where he was luck enough to DJ live.

This mix series is a selection of recordings taken from various live sets along the way and consists of various music genres including Liquid Drum & Bass, Jungle, Oldschool, Soulful House / Techno, Breakbeat & more and they are all available to stream and download for free. All mixes were completely unplanned, mixed live (on various setups) and fuelled by Sangsom (Thai Rum) so please excuse the odd 'slightly shady' mix here and there!

Alpha Rhythm & Natus - Ascension

Audio engineer and music producer with over 25 years of experience, driven by a deep love of sound. I create Drum & Bass and genre-fused electronic music as one half of SLR & The iNOVATOR, with my husband Bob Richardson (aka The iNOVATOR, A Touch of Jazz, Floorfiller), a producer with over 35 years of experience.

Together, we run Lateral Vision Recordings, home to our full catalogue of releases.

Creating original dance music since 1991, I am currently producing new material as one half of SLR & The iNOVATOR, working on solo projects, and rediscovering lost and unreleased DnB gems from the ‘90s.

Throughout the 1990s, my tracks were released on vinyl and featured on CD compilations through labels such as F-Project (Formation Records), Sound Entity, Precious Material, and Basement Records.

I’ve also produced music under various aliases, including A Touch of Jazz, Floor Filler, B Rich, NekLok, and Mutants.
