At long last, we have finally uploaded our sixth and most recent jam session. This is the most dynamically diverse and highest quality of our spontaneous albums thus far. Ranging from distorted electric guitars alongside synths and pounding drums, to hypnotic ambient washes with pulsating brushed drums atop synth pads, to stripped-down, raw acoustic tracks consisting merely of two guitars, this session consists of both improvised jams and re-attempts at a few tracks that we previously devised during past sessions.

Recorded live at home in a converted garage by Jonathan Carey (guitar) and Evan Witkowski (drums, keys, drum machine, percussion).

"Entropy" is probably our favorite live recording. Considering its spontaneity, the quality, layers, the different sounds, and the shifts really impressed us upon listening back. We have since re-recorded it into an official song (which is still under construction), and intend to include it on a future album.

"I originally wrote/recorded this song around 2008, and it's been through a few badly recorded iterations to get to the most recent recording. For quite some time, I've wanted to do this song justice with regard to recording quality and overall production, but it is difficult to improve the quality without losing the authenticity of the "nostalgic/memory" feel. I did my best to make this work. Had the house to myself for a few hours, which is very rare, so this is what became of my day. More improvements to be made..."

Make It Worse - clip

Just saw The Grey last night in the theater. I suck at piano and there are a couple minor midi edits, but I had to try to learn the haunting piece from the last scene of the movie, when Liam Neeson prepares to fight the Alpha wolf. Really powerful stuff.
