My name is Sarah Farrell, I’m 16 years old and im currently a student.
Im from West Belfast in the heart of North of Ireland. Music is something I turn to no matter where i am, where i go, who im with or how i feel. Its always there and I can relate to it greatly. I grew up from a background of music that varies from u2, coldplay, dadt punk, groove armada, the beatles and endlessly more. I learnt from the best in terms of music from my eldest brother and father. My main influences in todays music society would be Rihanna and u2.
Music is the main source of many hobbies I have including dancing, singing and acting, I started theatre school with stagecoach at the age of 8 which led me into big productions such as little britain, Annie in the opera house and la tosca in the opera house. At the age of 14 I moved to Belfast school of Performing arts and ive still continued my journey through the performing arts area with being in more productions and getting to meet alot of influential west end stars. Singing became a natural talent from no age and I still continue to persue it.
Dancing is another talent of mine, I have danced since I could ever walk, Ive been to many dance schools and have experienced many styles, my main styles I compete with is hiphop/streetdance, freestyle disco and contemporary. I was crowned All Ireland champion in 2010 For streetdance and in 2011 I came 3rd in my freestyle in my World championship, I have won plenty of smaller titles aswell.
Singing I can share emotion and relate to people that enjoy what style or change I make to a song. Music is therapeutic in my eyes and I love getting the oppourtunity to make my own journey out of another artist’s song. I have written many songs when I was younger and I will get back into it. But for now you will see me make my own twists to varied songs from music from the past until todays top chart music.
