This is a demo of a song I wrote about a Werewolf for Halloween!  I now perform it with my band Zara, it sounds wicked played live with the full band. The song is intended to be a bit tongue-in-cheek and quirky, you really need to be wearing plastic fangs to appreciate it. It will be back to the serious dark music for me after the Halloween fun is over. On this home-recording I play all the instruments.

"Who will have won when the soldiers have gone?" - this famous lyric kept popping in my head after the UK decided to send troops to the Middle East recently. We added this cover to our set and this is a recording I made to work out the arrangement.  On this recording I play all the instruments and I confess I have the bass turned up way loud!

I'm releasing this old previously 'private' demo, as it really resonates with me now, during the Pandemic: "the souls beneath the frozen ground, them Black Death bones, they crack and cry , and pull me down" (verse 2). Forgive this less than perfect GarageBand demo... I am working on improving my recording skills during lockdown. This was the first 'electronic' track I recorded - no real instruments. Its morbid and morose, which is why I never released it. It might only stay here a couple of weeks - but something to fill the vacuum inspired by the last Plague.

Vampire, Vampire

Am working on some drum tracks to combine with live drums for forthcoming Zara gigs. This is a re-working/cover of a song called Bela Lugosi's Dead written by Bauhaus. There is no guitar on this track, just some rough bass. All recorded on an ipad in my kitchen tonight. Am sending it to my bandmates to have a listen to.
