Sinew0od is a complex feedback network made up of a Paetzold contrabass recorder, a microphone and small speakers, attached to the instrument. When the performer interacts with the feedback by pressing keys and playing notes, the instruments inner resonant frequencies gets amplified. At the same time sine waves are injected into the instruments air jet and wood fibres.
Sinew0od was commissioned for Anna Petrini by Rikskonserter Sweden in 2008. This recording was made in January 2009 at a live performance by Anna at Capitol in Stockholm.
