Ooh, another new track....The music has a jolly happy sound, your vocal more melancholic. The two match beautifully. Love the way it grows dynamically, bringing the thick bass for depth with the extra keys and backwards sound. Then the drop out to the, is that an electric guitar, the huge sound at the end? Fantasic work once again.

Derde Verde are a Los Angeles-based indie rock band known for their melodic soundscapes, driving rhythms, and heartfelt songwriting. They are set to release a new album, Tug of War in June 2023, with 'Don’t Look Away' as the first single. Their 2019 album 'Slow Light was praised by KCRW as Best New Music. Their upcoming album, captured mostly live on 2-inch tape, explores the conflict between past and present selves in the post-pandemic world.

This track is celebrating those beautiful stolen moments first thing in the morning, when you exist purely in your body. The sun’s not quite risen, eyes blurred, and feeling is all that matters. Before the jolt of the nervous system kicking in with all the stresses and weight of the day ahead - before you’ve gotta ‘be’ in the world and carry yourself through the day, especially in hard times. These are my favourite moments, and I feel so blessed to be so held.

A feeling which at times seems silly and all-consuming but it’s there all the same... Stay This Way was not a song intended for me, but after a session with Kevin Hutchens in LA, me in London, I knew that I couldn't let it go. 
A song recorded in the legendary Strongroom Studios, London where the likes of Anne-Marie, Olivia Rodrigo, the Spice Girls have written and recorded, Stay This Way came to life. 
I am thrilled to be embarking on a full UK tour after a sold-out show in London in May post the release of Where Do I Lay All The Love I Have Left dropped.
