Dutch label PIV keeps on serving up the goods as they welcome Belfast youngster Robbie Doherty with another standout track. This one has been doing the damage for some time now on the dance floors around the world, so this is a long awaited release.

Once again here Robbie shows his love of 90's house grooves and a real grasp of depth. It's My Beat is a tight, kicking tune with rubbery bass rumbling underneath razor sharp hi hats. Well placed vocals bring a futuristic sense of soul and as the groove bumps on it's easy to see why floors have been rocking to this one.

This is another fresh sound from PIV and ever more essential artist Robbie Doherty.

Last year Rebirth Records celebrated 10 years with the release of the acclaimed compilation selected and mixed by Larry Heard. We are now happy to present 'Rebirth 10 Remixed': a special collection, available on a limited 2x12” vinyl edition, and three digital parts, including brand new versions of some of the classics of the label in the first ten years.

The second part includes remixes from Palms Trax, Borrowed Identity, Gerry Read, Matteo Gamba and Khotin Berlin-based producer Palms Trax picks one of our favourites 'The Infamous' by Butch & C.Vogt cooking up a very cool version, combining the subtle atmospheric deep vibe and hazy synths with a swinging bass-heavy and a pinch of Acid. Borrowed Identity drops an uplifting, dynamic and solid club mix of 'Conscious Of My Conscience', the classic by Womack & Womack revisited by Freaks.  Gerry Read delivers an incredibly peak time house boogie disco monster version of Full Intention's club hit 'Icon'. The italian producer living in Berlin Matteo Gamba, add his electronic deep touch to System Of Survival’s ‘Iper Island’, while  Vancouver based producer Khotin gives 'Evolving' by Chromatic Filters an introspective slow feel with acid touch.

The cover sleeve is a work by Emil Schult, who has created a painting especially for the Rebirth's Anniversary. Emil is known for his work with electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Schult's collaboration with founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider saw him actively involved in writing lyrics as well as generating the design for some of the band's most famous covers.

This record brings together a trio of artists who individually add their own style and bring five delightful electronic compositions.

Artmann's Rhythm Delight leads the EP, with its stunning use of synthesis and excellent percussive work, giving feel good house vibes all round. Move It round The Night and Waves Neva Stop continue to push forward thinking style and round off three exquisite originals.

Coral O'Connor, on the flip with the Move It Around The Night Remix, takes things deeper and introduces a club ready groover to the package. 

Astre finishes strong with a different style of remix, full the the brim with energy and groove. A track that will have no trouble finding a home on the sun-kissed terraces around the world.

The brand new release on the label, 'Freedom EP', was made by Astre, an upcoming Chilean talent with releases on labels like Rendr, Whoyostro or Deeperfect among others.

The track which gives the name to the EP is about the funky bassline, an infectious keys hook and a sexy vocal. Jesse Jacob took this elements and turned 'Freedom' around a deep house track made in 21st century. 'Dance With Me' is leaded by guitar & electric bass, updating the West Coast house sound to this days. 'Love' mixes deep and minimal house and closes an amazing EP.
