The first single to be taken from his forthcoming debut artist album, ‘Frozen Ground’ reunites ilan Bluestone with British singer / songwriter Giuseppe De Luca. 

Since joining the label in 2014, ilan has been at the forefront of the evolving trance sound. With an ear for hooky instrumentals, organic chords and dance floor minded productions, the likes of ‘Big Ben’, ‘Spheres’ and ’43’ became euphoric moments in DJ sets for the likes of Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.

A prolific touring artist, ilan has headlined the Anjunabeats North American tour in 2016 and 2017 as well as joining Above & Beyond at Madison Square Garden and Sydney’s All Phones Arena.

The follow up to ilan and Giuseppe’s breakout hit ‘Bigger Than Love’, ‘Frozen Ground’ was debuted during Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 200 show in a sold out 13,000 capacity Ziggo Dome.

For Giuseppe, inspiration for the song came after he joined ilan on stage at EDC, “there’s something about witnessing a sea of people gathered together to feel something that really helps to warp the borders of reality. I had this Brechtian idea of a specific sound, that when heard, would snap the listener out of their everyday veneer and allow them to connect with who they truly are. On Frozen Ground, I feel that sound, forever."

Above & Beyond are reunited with Sunderland-born singer and songwriter Marty Longstaff for 'Flying By Candlelight’, the first in a new triptych of future club classics from the prolific trio.

Lifted from the upcoming ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ (which also includes ’There's Only You’ featuring Zoë Johnston and ‘Distorted Truth’ - set for release on the band’s Anjunabeats imprint in March), fans can watch the official lyric video for ‘Flying By Candlelight’ on Above & Beyond’s YouTube channel or stream both the Original Mix and Above & Beyond Club Mix on their favourite streaming platform.

Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebration in Hong Kong last September, A&B share this ode to the elevating power of love in several flavours: Original and Club, each a delicious serving of the songwriting chops that recently swept Above & Beyond to their second GRAMMY nomination for Common Ground album cut ‘Northern Soul’.

Says Tony McGuinness, "Flying By Candlelight is a love song about a saviour who rescues our protagonist from a dark, lonely place, taking him through a spectacular night sky. A bit like The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, but a bit longer lasting!”

Instantly recognisable, entirely unforgettable, ‘Flying By Candlelight’ is the second A&B vocal feature for Longstaff, who contributed the disarming vocal to Common Ground album cut ‘Tightrope’. More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty has risen to prominence in recent months with moving single ‘Shipyards’, penned for his home town of Sunderland, UK. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

2019 begins with another bold statement from ilan Bluestone: six original productions on a new EP entitled, ‘We Are The Universe’.

The first single is a fan favourite from ilan’s New Year club run and recent Above & Beyond shows: ‘Mama Africa’ featuring EL Waves.

Bearing the prestigious ‘tronce’ seal (that's British for ‘trance’) ‘Mama Africa’ delivers an ilan Bluestone-sized hit of driving rhythmic bass, cascading layers of synth and the return of collaborator EL Waves (Elizabeth Osei) for another stunning vocal performance.

Elizabeth explains how the track draws heavily from her cultural roots, “This is a song of love and blessing for my mother, father and loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes when raising children of the next generation, passing down wisdom from old to new. Sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”

ilan Bluestone ‘Mama Africa’ featuring EL Waves is set for release on Anjunabeats on the 19th of February with the full EP arriving this spring.

Polish artist, Alex Rusin, returns to Inner Symphony with his second EP, “Cold Winds”. Three beautiful and emotionally captivating tracks, this release showcases Alex’ talent for pinpointing a mood.

The EP begins with the title track, “Putting The World Back Together”. A strong opening  immediately demanding a listener’s attention by pairing dynamic percussion over subtle evolving tones. With the second track, “Cold Winds”, Alex instantly manages to create a feeling of melancholy with only the minimal opening notes. The EP ends with the distinctly uplifting, “Snow In The Lights”. The track builds with each interlude introducing a new melodic element, combining to hint at influences of pop.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its twelfth instalment featuring Anjunadeep alumn GRAZZE and three debutants in The Dualz, minds&machines, and Frost.

French duo The Dualz kick proceedings off with ‘Your Eyes’, a progressive piece characterised by dark fluttering arpeggios. Having played at Watergate for Anjunadeep's and Ben Bohmer’s Ton Topferei label party earlier this year, the Montpellier-based pair are no strangers to the label family. Recently featured on Anjunadeep 10 with his track ‘Querencia’, Dublin-based producer and Ibiza Global Radio host GRAZZE returns with ‘Irish Hill’, a driving departure from his previous label release. 

Next up is German duo minds&machines. With releases on Diynamic and Astralwerks  and support from names such as Solomun and Lane 8, minds&machines blend of UKG and ambient electronica is inimitable, exemplified in their debut label release ’September’. 

Finally we welcome Sydney-born Frost for his label debut in the syncopated ‘Undercurrents’. Frost’s first Anjunadeep offering shows a penchant for deep, percussive production, illustrating why he’s released on deadmau5’s mau5trap and garnered support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.
