Dave Enigma - Oblivion @ The Unit

This is a tape rip of the set I played to win the North Radical Dogs Bollox Competition at the Void, Stoke on Trent in January 2001.

After 5 years of submitting my tapes to Greg Dolphin at 3rd Planet Records and to Andy Bowler at TDC Promotions, missing out in 2000 because Andy didn't have my contact details, I finally made it to the finals at one of the most famous rave venues in the UK, The Void, Glass Street, Stoke on Trent.

This night opened the doors for me and launched my career which has now spanned 14 years, taken me to some amazing places and with some wonderful friends. This is the most important set that I ever played, not least for where it's taken me in life as a dj but for the memory of taking to such a famous stage in front of all the people I'd raved with on the very same dancefloor for years before.
