ItaloJohnson operate a zero bullshit policy. An uncomplicated musical vision that rests on preserving intimacy, sociality and space in the club, the faceless trio have been making a name for themselves since 2010 with a series of hand-stamped 12” releases showcasing their timeless house sound.

The collective expanded on their no-frills musical vision in our recent feature with them. Off key fondue parties and records "handstamped by virgins" aside, guiding the three is an underlying imperative to make decisions for the right reasons: their anonymity nothing more than a method that works well for them, something that relies on a sociality that the internet has effectively negated over the years. The first edition of Mechatronicast is built by Berlin based producer and DJ, Privacy. We first encountered him and his stunning record selection a couple of years ago at OHM, and have since then had the pleasure of inviting him to play several Mechatronica nights.

With recent 12"s out on Valcrond Video, Lobster Theremin and Klasse Wrecks, Privacy continues to produce exceptional diverse electronic music and mesh records like no one else in the game. In the vein of his DJ sets, this contribution to Mechatronicast is a powerful sticky blend of electro, EBM, techno, ghetto and more.

We’ve been watching @salaryboy from afar fondly for quite a time now. Rest assured, its not in a strange capacity - just one of adoration and appreciation - the normal, professional amount. The shrewd of you may have noted this love affair, and would be forgiven for feeling Deja Vu-esque tendencies. 

This is not our first meeting. Salary Boy steps into our Four Heads lair to engage the Soundcloud machine for a second time, having conquered the beast 10 months ago in our original engagement; he now has an even more intimate knowledge in how to excite and marshall her to produce vibrations within the audible range, and so forth there has hatched a mix. 

A lots changed since our last time together-  Salary Boy’s rise has been exponential,  the Four Heads lair stays modest but respectable. But, it’s that sound remains that remains the same, and unchanged. The groove infused, can’t help but daydream of memories been, and experiences to come, tap your foot goodness which keeps you hooked. Fact is - we can’t get enough of it.

Catch the working man on @steelcitydancediscs monthly Netil Radio show! (3rd thursday 9-11pm), and anticipate big releases from labels such as Steel City Dance Discs,  Shadow City Records, and Astropical Tapes.

@Doppelate first caught our attention with his smooth as ever debut EP 'Wash it Out' on Let's Go Swimming - an imprint and party series in which he co-run's with fellow pals, William Earl, Mackness and Henry Fry. Since, he has had a smattering of offerings which have really hit the spot, with a beautifully chilled return to LGS and a recent acid intoxicated cameo on Munich label, Slam City Jams latest VA. Doppelate's sound has remained true througout our admirership (new word), with production as clean as a dogs pipe and a sound as accomplished as a retired flute. In short - we really like Doppelate.

This mixtape is a real x-ray of the artists connection with dance music. Futuristic mechnanic textures reverberate throughout the hour-and-a-bit, meandering towards and away from the dance floor. Go with Doppelate - It's a journey well worth embarking on.

Thrust between the harsh acid techno that has risen to prominence in Paris and the house sound that we've become accustomed to from the country Raito's sound is if anything a rough tribute to that of the storied Ed Banger, who in turn are celebrating their 15th year in existence.

Back in 2016, Skee Mask and Zenker Brothers spontaneously attempted to play together at an afterparty in Prague, but after ten minutes the electricity failed. Two years later they finally had the opportunity to play a joint extended set for the first time - at Unsound Kraków 2018. The three DJs closed Saturday night in Hotel Forum with an expansive set building on adventurous forms of techno, jungle and broken beat, combining the collective interests of Ilian Tape. The set kicked off at 4am in the Ball Room.

Being head of countless labels, he contributed in shaping the electronic sound from a decade or so. He join our podcast family with a full unreleased 1h40mins cut

Some of them will be released on his labels such as Whiteloops/Blackloops, VOY, Oldivibes, and Hoarder, while others will become a part of his solo album which is out this spring. This allowed him to extensively play with different moods, different genres and to show all shades of his production.

Combining over 15 years of experience in varied corners of dance music - most significantly, the vinyl corner, their history of feverishly sourcing obscure tunes has blossomed into a full-time job.

The vintage Mercedes bus-turned-shop takes them just a short distance around Berlin, feeding the voracious appetites of the city’s most discerning taste-makers and DJs. The musical journey contained therein is a much longer road, exploring three decades of house, techno and various other strains of underground electronic music. The end-product is a couple of ultra-refined record bags, traversing genres and styles with a zesty and unique approach - demonstrated seamlessly throughout this offering for our mix series.

You'll catch the duo at the final outing at the fort for Dimensions 2019.
