This is my way to process the terrible events in Ukraine. Down with the aggressor, long live the praying mantis. She is very tough! The Hornet will be surprised. The Hornet has no idea!

All drums and samples performed on Akai MPC2000XL; 
Bassline: NI Reaktor Modular Synthesizer standalone controlled via Midi
Organ sound: Hammond B4 II running on VST Host 
Effectprocessor: Behringer Virtualizer pro

No Computer DAW was used. All midi-tracks were recorded, edited, and played on AKAI MPC2000XL. Mixing Console: Roland VS-1680. Mastering using SoundCloud algo.

Underground Miracles - DJ Set

Here i made a remix of one of my most loved early house tracks from ESP with the name “It’s you” from the year 1986. The sound of the track has traces of italo disco mixed with the, then, new house music style. The lyrics is naive and charming. The melody is simple and sweet and the bleeping tones is still sampled by many of today’s modern techno and house artists. 

I heard the song the first time during my Chicago holiday as I was doing some weight training in the fitness center of the Hilton hotel in the early morning. It was love at first sight! Instantly after the training, i started to re-write/remix the song on my mobile studio (Laptop), which is of course every time and every where next to me. 

This is one of a very few vocal house tracks that, according to my own personal taste, is to be considered in a deep house style, an otherwise over-exploited term. I tried to give it an electro-house taste without destroying it's typical Chicagoan pulsy heartbeat.

It was first released under the British label Radical Records, and pressed in 1986 on the Chicago label Underground, a DJ International subsidiary and instantly became one of the early house scene’s biggest hits.
Citation of the narrator of the radio station as I heard it that morning in the center: “There’s not many compilations made to describe the early Chicago house scene that lack this track. It’s that essential!”

Originating from Luxembourg and currently residing in Aachen, Germany, Sash Electrique's musical journey is a one-of-a-kind tale. His first encounter with electronic music was in 1990 during a trip to London, where the sound of Jeff Mills left an indelible mark: "I was captivated by this strange yet powerful rhythmic monotone music and the art of its seamless blending. It was a wow moment for me!" 

Since that transformative moment, Sash Electrique has poured his heart and soul into electronic music, demonstrating an unwavering passion that led him to co-found the renowned live-act project Pyrobase alongside Alexis W. His dedication to music is evident in his career, which began as a musician in 1993 and later expanded to DJing. Since 2000, he has regularly traveled/toured different countries, between Germany and Luxembourg. 

Besides his residency at the legendary Club Napoleon in Aachen, Sash regularly appeared at the legendary MusikBunker, Club Fiftyfive,  Nightlife, Waldfrequenzen, MIKZ/Berlin, S38/Koblenz,  Zeitzone Stellwerk/Osnabrück, AOXOMOXOA, Cosmic Club, Alive Festival/Sank Vith, Burg Falkenberg Open-Air, SoulKitchen, The Point/Luxembourg, JahBar/Luxembourg, the legendary techno club "Café de la Gare"/Luxembourg, Lenox, BlowUP, Hit Club, Break the Silence festival, RaveLu, JellyBeats, HanfParade/Berlin, BeatDay, and many more. 

During his career, he also stood next to or b2b with fascinating personalities of the DJ scene on stage, like Pierre Deutschman, Remerc, Trick Pony, Man in Trees, Marius Drescher, Alice Kuntz, Ingo Boss, DR Gonzo, Maxwell George, Packo Gualandris, Michael Van Tune, The Revarant, Eno-C, Dr. Motte, Lukasch, Jagger, Tasso&Mitch, Oliver Neufang, Benoit, Jens Henning, Thorsten Hoffmann, Youssef, Doudou and many more... 

Also, having a DJ residency at the electronic radio shows "Under Construction" 99.1FM, Club-Rotation at LRB Radio, and Grafity at Radio ARA103.3FM, Sash Electrique's sets are a journey through a rich tapestry of musical landscapes. His musical pilgrimage spans from chillout to tribal, deep technoid house to minimal-, and Dub-Techno, always carrying a touch of driving deepness and Detroit-flavored beats, promising a unique and exciting experience in underground electronic music for the audience.

His style is soulful, sensual, and powerful. His sound is versatile and always uplifting. Sash Electrique keeps the decks on fire and the dancefloor moving.

Between October 2011 and October 2013, Sash Electrique was a key figure in the Aachen electronic music scene. As the managing director of Club Napoleon, he was instrumental in discovering new talents and shaping event concepts, keeping the spaceship flying and leaving a lasting impact on the scene. His influence extended beyond the club as he was also the founding CEO of Aachen Nachtleben. During this time, he organized or was involved in event series like: TechMe-High, Luxembour Calling, Ibiza Express, Organisierter Krawall, Glow in the Dark Aachen, O(h)rgasmus, BlackBox, Tiefes Treiben, SoulTrain, InnerCircle, das Gelbe Vom Ei, LipStickMusic, HouseAufsHerz and many more.

2013 marked the time of his retirement from regular nightlife, event management, and DJing activities due to favorable changing circumstances in his life. Being the father of two lovely daughters, he stopped all such activities. But as time goes by, this might not be the end of the story yet...let's see what the future brings :-)
