Kostas Maskalides returns to phobiq with two slammers, and the title track is up first, led by retro toms and shuffling drums, laced by cavernous effects and atomic squelches. Sasha Carassi&#8217;s interpretation of &#8220;I Got Love&#8221; is up next, where he pulls the gears back a bit and retains the original&#8217;s vocals, yet twisting them to taste while dry stabs and evolving synths unfold over the rocksteady groove. Closing up with the original mix of &#8220;I Got Love&#8221;, Kostas brings in mutated vocal snippets and distressed electronics, as his trademarked, frantic rhythm section clears everything in its way.

And so, as 2015 reaches its closing stages, Selador Recordings proudly present our final release of the year. To finish off in style, please step forward Darren James &amp; Alec Milliner, aka Framewerk, a UK duo that have been on our radar for some time but we believe have excelled themselves here, delivering their finest work to date on the &#8216;Feel You Hold You&#8217; EP.

The Original Mix (10 points for anyone who can guess the vocal sample by the way) has already made it onto Dave Seaman&#8217;s forthcoming Beyond Borders: Berlin mix compilation in all it&#8217;s deep, atmospheric glory and then on remix duties we have friend of the label, John &#8216;Quivver&#8217; Graham plus one of our favourite Techno producers, man of the moment, Sasha Carassi. Both have turned in stellar performances befitting of the occasion, each with their own distinct sound and flavour. Place your bets people, pick a winner.

Completing the package is a track that will be instantly familiar to anyone who was clubbing in the mid 90s. Dee Patten&#8217;s &#8216;Who&#8217;s The Badman&#8217;is considered a stone cold classic in many circles and this 2015 remake gives it a whole new lease of life. A Brucie bonus definitely not to be missed.

The YellowHeads - Symbiosis (Sasha Carassi Remix) [Reload Black Label]

Sasha Carassi&#8217;s summer hit gets the full remix treatment and Chicago Loop is up first with his beefed-up version, sprinkled with the Original&#8217;s chopped-up chords and an epic breakdown. Alberto Ruiz is next with a more dubbed-out approach, letting his airtight rhythm section do all the talking. Frankyeffe takes us on a cavernous ride, complete with the familiar progressions and tasty squelches, which ultimately lead us to Taster Peter&#8217;s pad-led remix that relies heavily on the synths as it stomps away.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional.
 
Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

Label boss Sasha Carassi teams up with Ukrainian wonderkid Skober for two melodic slices of Techno. &#8220;Reborn&#8221; is up first, establishing the moody vibe with meticulously crafted atmospherics and Skober&#8217;s trademarked, looped-out vocals, all leading to an ominous breakdown. Synth domination continues on &#8220;Thema&#8221;, even as its approach is more stripped-down, allowing the evolving electronics to take center stage while the drums stomp away frantically.

Stephan Hinz returns to Second State once again, painting the canvas of silence with his masterstroke of imposing drums and vicious hooks. 'Venom' is Hinz' latest offering and comprises four incredibly massive tunes which perfectly showcase his evolving sound of Techno's best in peak time pandemonium. 
The title track 'Venom' kicks off the EP with a devilish throbbing groove while mischievous organ stabs rise and fall generating an impeccable balance between tough and playful. 'Primal' follows up with a more devious style where relentless percussion and sinister synth stabs culminate into absolute debauchery. Switching gears, 'Out Of It’ shows Stephan twisting the track's elements into a grooving, up-beat tool with a contagious faction of ingredients that transform into a sublime trip suitable for a million situations. 
Clinching the EP is a venture into the ethereal: the aptly titled 'Shadowselves' takes a journey into the dramatic world of villainous sonics and surging tones creating a labyrinth of dense atmospherics before winding into a grand crescendo.

Sasha Carassi, hailing from Napoli, is a DJ, producer and composer whose style spans eclectically across the electronic landscape.
Sasha began his musical journey during the first years of the 90's, working as resident DJ at Dinamik, the most famous club in the area, when he was only 15. Influenced by House Music and Breakbeat, he has ventured into the production world, releasing his first album in 2002, after which followed a slew of well-received singles that cemented his reputation as producer. But 2010 was a massive year for Sasha production-wise, with releases on a host of big labels including the mighty Drumcode and Bedrock. This saw him make his presence known in the darker, big-room oriented side of the genre. Sasha loves the studio and his output is always visceral and atmospheric with trademark touches that makes his tunes instantly recognizable, perfectly proved in his “Picture” on Solomun’s Diynamic, where he shows his change of musical direction. Nowadays, in fact, he doesn't love defining himself with a proper genre because for him it is really limiting, but he loves feeling free to express his emotions, trying to mix and balance the different influences.
In 2009 he founded one of the most respected Techno labels “Phobiq”, releasing killer cuts discovering many talents as well as his own, but he broke away from it to launch his new label “ILINX”, which fully reflects his views on music. 
Avid vinyl collector since the late 80’s, now he can boast a wide range of records, from the classic to the most contaminated electronic music. Known as a “seasoned veteran”, Sasha is revered within the electronic music scene for his skills and work ethic.
