Every raver has their sunrise story. It usually takes place around 6 AM, after dancing all night, when the first rays of light usher in a new musical energy, something wild and magical. It’s the kind of moment people romanticize for years, even decades after. Such was the desired effect of Luzon’s 2002 classic Manila Sunrise. The tune contains a raw, tribal energy that few others can claim. Drawing influence from the Goa scene, it’s twirling pads and majestic vocal made it an instant progressive house staple that redefined the genre. We’re proud to bring back this insatiable classic for our fifteenth Yoshitoshi Classic remix pack, with contributions from three of today’s finest producers — label owner Sharam, Swiss studio ace Khainz, and New York techno legend Boris.

Sharam’s remix adds some modern flare to the original's progressive nature. He injects some dark, drum n’ bass-inspired sounds, a catchy new melody, and a beautiful, pad-and-vocal driven breakdown that transports listeners and club-goers to another dimension. Khainz makes his Yoshitoshi debut with a remix that boasts a myriad of stabs, effects, and other synth wizardry over a driving, tech house groove. His monstrous builds give away to exhilarating, unapologetic release. Finally, Boris transforms the track into a percussion-driven monstrosity that smacks of the classic New York 90's techno sound. The mix itself is built around banging drums and heavy bass, while the original’s delicate vocal contrasts the brutal nature of his remix, creating a powerful sonic dichotomy.  As usual, we have included a remaster of the timeless original mix to complete this package.  Enjoy.

Making his return to NoExcuse is Bizen Lopez, after delivering a killer remix for Ario on our 'Records' imprint he now comes back to visit with a darker, Deep Tech approach on NoExcuse Limited. Bizen has been featuring on some of the best Deep Tech labels in the game recently so we are delighted to have him back onboard with us!

He gets his solo release started with 'On Off & Eglo', a sinisterly captivating after-hours piece. It's deep, rolling low frequencies are raw and striking from the get-go and they are accompanied by enigmatic male vocal chops throughout. The track descends into a labyrinth of expansive and dark soundscapes within the breakdown segments and then rips you right back out of the abyss, sending you rolling along with the groove time and time again.

Bizen follows up in a commendable fashion with 'Real Drummers', another eerie five in the morning affair likely to satisfy any dusk dweller's craving. A track with more sinful personality and chasms of deep, ominous acoustic colours; matched perfectly by it's accompanying minimal rhythms and hints of twisted vocal licks throughout. 

One thing of great note throughout this release is Bizen's distinct ability to advocate quality over quantity in a very subtle yet effective way, both tracks deliver a unique blow without having to be d-floor destroyers. An artist that can create a specific output for an exact moment, not just the entire night; something that gets top marks for intelligence.

Sasha Carassi, hailing from Napoli, is a DJ, producer and composer whose style spans eclectically across the electronic landscape.
Sasha began his musical journey during the first years of the 90's, working as resident DJ at Dinamik, the most famous club in the area, when he was only 15. Influenced by House Music and Breakbeat, he has ventured into the production world, releasing his first album in 2002, after which followed a slew of well-received singles that cemented his reputation as producer. But 2010 was a massive year for Sasha production-wise, with releases on a host of big labels including the mighty Drumcode and Bedrock. This saw him make his presence known in the darker, big-room oriented side of the genre. Sasha loves the studio and his output is always visceral and atmospheric with trademark touches that makes his tunes instantly recognizable, perfectly proved in his “Picture” on Solomun’s Diynamic, where he shows his change of musical direction. Nowadays, in fact, he doesn't love defining himself with a proper genre because for him it is really limiting, but he loves feeling free to express his emotions, trying to mix and balance the different influences.
In 2009 he founded one of the most respected Techno labels “Phobiq”, releasing killer cuts discovering many talents as well as his own, but he broke away from it to launch his new label “ILINX”, which fully reflects his views on music. 
Avid vinyl collector since the late 80’s, now he can boast a wide range of records, from the classic to the most contaminated electronic music. Known as a “seasoned veteran”, Sasha is revered within the electronic music scene for his skills and work ethic.
