Making their debut on Eskimo Recordings this March, Berlin producers Franz Matthews & Local Suicide’s ‘Meditation / Tutan Jamon‘ was a heady brew of psychedelic disco that joined the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa.

Hailed as “propulsive and zen” by Resident Advisor and championed by DJs including Dj T, Red Axes, Perel & Acid Washed, the tracks have now been giving a fresh rub, with Eskimo going one better even than the genie from the Arabian Nights and fulfilling 4 wishes summoning up remixes from Manfredas, Chaim, NTEIBINT and The Oddness.

First out of the trap is Lithuanian producer Manfredas. Having made a name for himself with releases on labels like Les Disques de la Mort, Multi Culti and I’m A Cliché, Manfredas turns in a head spinning remix of Tutan Jamon, teasing out and extending the track in a masterclass of delayed gratification that eventually dissolves into acidic bleeps and drones. Tel Aviv’s Chaim remix of Tutan Jamon meanwhile sees the sometime Bpitch Control and Disco Halal producer up the tempo whilst losing none of the original’s exotic vibe. In his hands the track becomes a propulsive and trippy disco number perfect for late summer parties under the stars.

Eskimo stalwart NTEIBINT is up next with his reinterpretation of Meditation. Once again the Greek producer goes to show just why the label has him on speed dial, delivering a stunning remix with Vamparela’s vocals and a hypnotic bass line combining to mesmerising effect.

Finally fresh from remixing Satin Jackets Australian rising star The Oddness returns to Eskimo with his own spaced out take on Meditation. Keeping the tempo slow and low the Melbourne producer unravels the track, pulling apart its constituent parts and allowing them all to float free.

As we continue our musical discovery of some of the most unique and talented Electronic musicians & producers from Beirut, Thawra Records is excited to welcome on board, Jad Taleb, with his fabulous EP "Transitory". A producer, composer and unique audio-visual artist, Taleb delivers, with this offering, warm and emotive pieces of Electronic dance music, highlighting his unique sound signature, that has previously earned him global appearances on Boiler Room (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE0tTY0YZnQ) and impressive releases with labels the likes of Exploited Ghetto and Smiley Fingers, among others.

Composed of 3 original tracks, Transitory navigates through House and Techno pastures, with Taleb's emotive and evolving synth melodies, fused with hints of local Middle-eastern flavour, and elevated by warm, textural, and multi-layered production. Mad Or and Leftovers From both demonstrate sharp house vibes, anchored to addictive grooves and funky bass-lines, and yet beaming with melody and ethereal ambience, an aspect fully drawn out in the title track Transitory, which boasts impressive melodic work and a progression that simultaneously challenges the listener while earnestly engulfing them in a meditative state and an undulating world of sound. Finally, we conclude with an extended mix of Mad Or, that progresses further, and introduces a whole new world of sound, earning its own and well-deserved spot on the track-list, and completing this impressive package.

Caballero - Terpeno (Digital Committee Remix)

Alexander Sukhochev (aka Sashanti) is a creatively gifted person who fulfilled himself in many art forms including journalism, photography, writing, promotion and DJing. During the twenty years of the artistic career he became a prize-winning journalist, showed few of his photo exhibitions around the world and released a bestselling book in Russia about Goa named “The Goa Syndrome”. Music though is given a very particular role among all, being a fuel for all the achievements.
In the year of 2004 Alexander is shifting the residency to Goa and immediately triggered an interest to himself with the new format of music for that place and time. In parallel with dominating local Trance music scene he brought fresh waves by playing Techno and House genres along with the German friends and they together made a music revolution, changed the nightlife culture of the state.
In 2008 Sashanti together with the support of Shanti club (Moscow) opened a winter residence named Shanti Goa that became a unique hub for the good-timer community from the first year. Few years after, it was listed in the top 10 venues of India. In 2012 Alexander launched his own club venture Soma Project, standing out with the prestigious British award Gold Standard Beach Clubs 2014.
Today Sashanti is one of the most demanded artists in India, regular guest DJ of such festivals as Sunburn and Supersonic. For the last five years he is curating the Atmasphere stage on the Sula Fest. December 2014 saw the first release of Sashanti “Chudesato” which is a collaboration with German and English artists. In August 2017 he released two EP, "Jupiter Summer" on Hungarian label Egothermia and "Midnight Children" on Ibiza based Extremly House Music
Every summer Alexander is touring in Europe and already have played his sets at many cult clubs like Katerholzig, Tresor, Sass, Sisyphos, Katerblau (Berlin), Supperclub, Dok (Amsterdam), Paradiso, Chapeau De Rouge (Prague), Palaise (Munich), Baalsaal (Hamburg), Supersonic (Paris), Die Kantine, Pratersauna (Vienna), KM-5 (Ibiza), also at festivals like Awakenings (Holland) and at a live broadcast of Ibiza Sonica Radio, Radio 4 and many more. Every October Sashanti brings Soma Project Showcase to ADE
