Field Of Energy

I discovered this heavenly instrumental composed by Ian. He has his soundcloudsite under the name Magician. With his wonderful music, full of mystic ambience, he creates a "wonderworld".

Very soon we came to a collab where i just added my voice, in this ambient song.  But magic interfered and the day after i made an other version with a sort of a techno-feel. And I'm thankful Ian trusts me with his eyes closed and ears open! Thank you for that!

Alive With A (heart)beat Saskia and Ian aka Magician

Ian, who has his soundcloudsite under the name Magician, creates a "wonderworld".
He made an instrumental sweet as sugar, all the way, with the name, "dreamland".
Ian allowed me to rework his song, now called: You used to rock me asleep.

I made lyrics about a break -up. 
The first half of the song, stands for the memory of the relationship considered to be comforting, sweet and golden. Because the decission is made by the other, the question rises: “why”?
Who’s fault is it. 
In this first half of the song the sweetness of the song, made by Ian, stays untouched.

In the second half, the sweet music lingers silently, on the background, and a darker
theme (made with my synthesizer) with a beat (made with my drumcomputer), takes over. Feelings of sadness and even anger take over. It was the one who decided to break up, and even doesn’t explain, who broke his promesses and turned his back. I tried this change of feel also to reflect in my voice.

Dave Bayes on soundcloud,is known for his beautiful compositions and excellent guitarplay. We had already worked together. (Darklight united, No good, Zen Warrior). I like this song made and played by Dave and his Viking was suddenly dropped in my small tearoom!

A time ago I discovered the soundcloud page of multi-genre composer, guitarist, keyboard & bass player Neno and his other project/page, Danen II (covers and support). His music is deep emotional. He sent to me his "in the clouds"...

With samples and pushing and pulling bass-synth sounds, i made a pad of snow with oriental feel.

I didn't use words, but vocalise a bit to emphasise the rythme... it's repetitif, but i use every repetition different sounds from my synth, so there is still to discover something for the greedy ear. And do as the snowflakes: dance on the beat!
