FF011 sees Bristol-based DJ and producer Larus flip a Kendrick classic into a devastating 160 number. This Kung Fu Kenny anthem has been particularly popular recently with Ferguson and nickname providing huge edits on Taipan Trax and Extra Spicy. However, there's no doubt that Larus puts a unique spin on the sample. Samurai-style choppage and a contorted bassline will almost certainly blow your system :)

As a co-founder of excess, who have quickly become renowned for their ANY BPM mantra, Larus is pushing all kinds of leftfield goodness out of Bristol. With previous releases on excess and Nu Kvlture, as well as a stunning 100% Dubs mix, there's no doubt that Larus is one to watch!

As a bass music enthusiast of many years it only made sense that melba would pick up the headphones & Ableton at some point - a friendly face on the Newcastle club scene since 2015, and a DJ / Producer since 2022. melba is a passionate advocate for diversity of people and sounds within underground music, growing up listening to the fast pace of Makina and Clubland, setting the tone for her taste in electronic music.

melba’s debut release comes in the form of insatiable, a 160bpm slammer already receiving support from LCY, Tañ, Sweetpea, Nectax and more. The track is a nod to different styles, with a moody footwork influenced intro, progressing into a stripped back bass-booming drop. This one is destined for the club.

Bristol based BRUK is quickly becoming a staple in the new gen jungle scene and we are happy to announce his debut EP on SSBB,  the long awaited Circa 14 EP. These ones have been doing the rounds in our sets for a while now and with the new vocals recorded by Limmz they are loaded and ready for the dance floor.

The EP stretches neatly between jungle and grime, blurring the lines but always with that Bristol tekkers on the mix down! The modern jungle wave produced like dnb but with all that rich old school character. The tunes touch on wide range of different energy’s: vocal roller with ‘Circa 14’, halftime chugger on ‘Rinse’, baile jungle on ‘The Joint’ and raw all out junglism on the closing track ‘Suho’.

Born in Montreal, SasQ fell in love with D&B in 2011 and decided to buy his first turntables to explore his new found passion, and joined Bassix Soundsystem shortly afterwards. In 2013, he left the city to live on the West Coast for a decade, which exposed him to a diverse range of Bass Music, growing his arsenal from simple D&B to include jungle, juke, footwork, halftime, and a plethora of interesting sounds. Now back in Quebec, SasQ is ready to deliver unique sets with a diverse range of music not often heard on the Canadian East Coast.
