Adam Beyer took a liking to UK talent Boxia after meeting him in 2016, making his full EP release debut on Drumcode simply a "long time coming" sort of thing. Pig&Dan possess one of the finest pedigrees in techno and are faithful contributors to Drumcode, dropping their most recent EP – the excellent ‘Infinity’ – in February. ‘Promised’ marks their maiden release on DC’s little brother imprint and has a heart-breaking story behind its creation as Dan explains: "whilst enfolded in sadness we started to write a record dedicated to the loss of my son due to a terrible road accident. The vocal says it all ‘you promised you would live forever’ symbolising that your child will usually outlive you as the parent.”

The track’s lilting organ line makes a haunting accompaniment to the vocal, while tender synths and deep grooves ensure it’s a beautiful, timeless tribute. Egypt’s Raxon, who first debuted on Truesoul in 2017 with the ‘Heliopolis’ EP, delivers a tougher peak-time rework.

The ANMA Remix is way more straight forward and so is meant to be an epic club track. Whereas the remix of H.I.L.L. is a rolling bit of even deeper sounds."

Italian DJ/Producer Sassa, hails from a musical family with roots in Milan.

The classically trained musician's began with a conservatory ship at a young age. He later feel in love with grooves and the impact of electronic music with early inspirations from Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk & Lil Louis.

Developing a passion for sound engineering and performance art he honed his craft and introduced his style to the masses. Some of his early productions were gracefully supported by the likes of Solomun, Tale of Us, Maceo Plex & Jamie Jones.
