After a decade long friendship, the newly formed South London duo Sass & Vibes are climbing the proverbial step ladder that is the UK club scene to become more of a staple than the half empty bag of rice at the back of your cupboard. Residents at Night Tales & Night Tales Loft, (the former crowned Best Small Club by DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards) and Wales’ longest running electronic club night CYNT Cardiff, 2023 will be a year that continues to cement Sass & Vibes’ place in the concrete jungles of both capital cities. 
 
With influences that range from DJ Harvey, Andrew Weatherall and Craig Richards, to Prince, Todd Terry and Diana Ross, Sass & Vibes’ genre-spanning, party starter style DJ sets are garnering them an enviable reputation to kickstart beating hearts from the word go.
 
Meeting at university in Cardiff in 2011, General Vibes and Mr Sass became fast friends, bonding over a shared love of “all things off kilter, but on groove.” From their first night out at a house party together, which ended with Mr Sass losing his then job at 00’s high street mainstay Hollister, to their formative clubbing experiences at seminal venue/clubnight Studio 89, the 100-cap venue under a city centre noodle bar, the pair got stuck into Cardiff’s nightlife and within a year were instrumental in reviving the legendary CYNT in 2013. Pushing the cities musical boundaries and continually pushing its sonic diversity, the duo remain residents to this day. Fast forward to May 2023 and the pair will support Krystal Klear and Dr Banana for their summer rooftop party.
 
This summer will also see the pair hit the UK festival circuit, with sets at Mighty Hoopla, Westival, In It Together and Into The Burrow, as well as their Ibiza debut at Pikes. Continuing to be mainstays in their home city, with shows at the Colour Factory and Dalston Roof Park, plus their continuing residency at Night Tales, you can ‘Expect the Unaccepted'. As well as their packed schedule of gigs, they can be heard on the likes of Balamii Radio & Rinse plus the duo host their monthly radio show on AAJA in Deptford from The Snake Pit, where they host their first ever party under the same one as their moniker of ‘Sass & Vibes’. Their monthly radio episodes showcase a range of Balearic, Italo, Acid, House, Detroit Techno and Disco edits, condensing the boundless energy of an S&V set.
