”Todo está allí en los Vedas. La esencia de todas las religiones como el Hinduismo, el Islam y el Cristianismo están allí en los Vedas. Hasta los cristianos también cantan la gloria de Dios de la misma manera. Y los musulmanes ensalzan los cinco elementos y adoran a la diosa de la riqueza. Por ende, Dios es uno para todas las religiones. Dios es uno. La diferencia está sólo en los nombres. Los musulmanes ofrecen oraciones a Dios cinco veces al día. Los hindúes también le oran a Dios en la mañana y la tarde. Nunca diremos que los Vedas son sólo para hindúes. Los Vedas son para todos. Aquello que es uno y universal es el Veda. El Veda puede aliviar todo tipo de sufrimiento del hombre. Por ende, es bueno para cada uno el aprender el Veda. Muchas personas de América, también vienen aquí y aprenden los Vedas. Muchas personas en Rusia y Alemania también recitan los mantras védicos en la mañana y el anochecer. Puesto que los hindúes no recitan los mantras védicos los están olvidando. Por lo tanto, nadie debe olvidar los Vedas. El Veda y el Vedanta son como sus padres. Debemos siempre recordarlos y nunca olvidarlos. Respeten, honren y hagan a su madre feliz.”

Guru Stotram has 14 verses that praise the greatness of the guru who imparts self knowledge; Vedanta.

Vedanta is the end portion of the Vedas that teaches Brahma Vidya, the knowledge of the limitless being, which is, according to the Upanishads, the Self.

Vedanta reveals that the nature of I is free from any limitation, it is one, non-dual being. The general understanding of the I is ‘I am limited’ time-wise, space-wise and knowledge-wise. It is because of this conclusion that I am struggling to become happy. This is what is referred to as ‘Samsara’.

In order to get out of that endless cycle of birth and death, I need to know my essential nature as free from death, free from change, free from any limitation whatsoever.

Vedanta says,
You are the whole, you are full and complete as you are.
You are everything you want to be already.
You are the gold in and through all the ornaments.
All you need is to know, to remove the darkness of ignorance, to know yourself as such.

That is Freedom, that is Moksha. That is what ultimately every being is searching for in life, freedom from pain and suffering, freedom from the sense of smallness and inadequacy.

We all want to be happy, at all times and in all places.

We cannot find that in the world, the world is changing, that is the wonder of this creation, of this life.

Therefore I have to look somewhere else. Somewhere I have not yet thought of so far, somewhere closer than the closest.

Myself. That is Vedanta.

Swami Vagishananda Saraswati is a rare and special teacher, totally dedicated to understanding reality and the vedic/yogic teachings since the age of 19 (over 40 years!). Not only does he understand with full clarity the vision of vedanta – the answer to the question “Who am I” and “what brings total happiness and freedom from suffering to a human being?”, he also knows how to convey this truth to his students. Sharada Devi's spiritual journey started 16 years ago with the love for Yoga, Ayurveda followed by an Indian Classical Dance called Odissi. 10 years ago she finally met her revered teacher, Swami Vagishananda. Since then she has been a devoted student who has wholeheartedly embraced the Vedantic teachings & Sacred disciplines like Vedic Chanting, Sanskrit & Puja. Her devotion shines through in all her offerings. She has the blessing to study as well with Pujya Swamiji and his seniro disciple Shree Radhaji, Vedantin & Jungian Psychology Therapist. Her teachers have blessed her to pass on the Vedic Vision. Today she co teaches at Yoga Teacher Trainings and holds yearly Vedanta Retreats. Her love for the sacred feminine has birthed a beautiful initiative called the Be Woman Project. Its vision is to reestablish the bond between women and help them rediscover the value of being a woman and having a sisterhood.
