With this set I want to show you the new musical direction i'm heading to.
I have a made an album in this style. And for this podcast I used a lot of elements or tracks of my new album.
I am happy to play at Next Monday Hangover festival. The deep melancholic, experimental, romantic approach to music of this festival is where I feel at home!
On the festival I will do an album liveset. 

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing 
and rightdoing there is a field full of love.

Following the release of Dutch producer Djordje Petrovic aka Satori’s ‘In Between Worlds’ L.P on Underyourskin Records the imprint delivers a follow up remix package, welcoming an array of exciting producers in the world of electronic music. The Underyourskin imprint has been active since 2012 and is home to artist such as Krink, Jonas Saalbach, Schlepp Geist and Yapaac, and here we see it push on with some more intelligent and intriguing compositions.

Opening up the package is German producer Acid Pauli’s take on ‘The Whising Spell’ seeing him deliver his typically melodious and mind-bending style with sparse rhythms, arpeggio hooks and gradually unfolding synth sequences. The Micronaut’s ‘Days Without You’ remix follows and takes things into electronica realms with warbling square wave bass and broken beats layered under Miou Amadee’s soulful vocal styling’s.
Dutch duo Änimal then turn in a dropped tempo hypnotic rework of ‘Wasted feat Hugo’ next, laying the focus on subtly blooming pad lines, drawn out bass tones and bubbling percussive hits.
Berlin’s Mario Aureo switches things up into dubby realms, turning ‘We Don’t Exist’ into a dance floor workout with fluttering stab hits, a mesmeric synth hook and shuffled drum lines.
Kris Davis then rounds off the package with his interpretation of ‘Wasted feat Hugo’ delivering a charming bass driven take, employing dreamy bell chimes, elongated sub bass and expansive atmospherics.

Tribute for my friends in Paris the Horde Crew!

The vocals you hear in the beginning are field recordings from random people in Paris. Just people on the street who I let say:   “Il ne faut pas aller plus vite que la musique.”
Its a saying from France what means ‚ don’t go faster then the music.’ It’s an expression to say something like: one step at a time. 
I really loved the idea of the saying so I ask a friend from Paris to record random people on the street. From an old man reading the news paper in a park , to a woman drinking a wine on a terrace, to a little girl from three years old.

The last year I played 3 times on the events of the Horde crew. And I felt in love with Paris and the crew became my dear friends.
So to support them in these troubled times I named the song „Horde” to dedicate it to them.

Keep it up guys!
Be brave and remember:  "Il ne faut pas aller plus vite que la musique!"

My dear friends

I am happy to share my live recordings of one of the most magical night of my career so far.
I was invited to play in Oaxaca, Mexico together with Acid Pauli during 'Day of the dead' on 31st of oct 2015.
We played in some kind of old spanish church in the middle of the night. Because it was ‘the day of the death’ everybody was dressed like skelletons. They painted me as my dog Rivaldo, that passed away 3 months ago.
You can imagine playing in Mexico in a temple, on the day of the dead, with Acid Pauli, in front of Skelletons, while I was painted like my Rivaldo (and Martin had some kind of Jezus outfit) was pretty magical.

So I am excited to share with you the live recordings of this night.
I want to thank Mariana, ALKEMY and gem&bolt party w/ guest mezcal Amores and Meteoro to set up this night.
And all the people who came to show: you really made that temple come alive again!!

It was pretty weird but great to remix my own track that I made 4 years ago with my buddy El Mundo.
The original was released by Bla Bla rec Amsterdam and the Get Physical crew discovered the track this year when Derrick May played it on an after party. They loved it and wanted to do a re-release on their own imprint.
In the beginning I had a bit of mixed feelings about it, although its one of my favorite E&S tracks I wasn't so sure if it was the right thing to do. I am in such a different musical vibe that it didn't make any sense for me to release this track again. But I really love Get Physical, it's such a legendary label that I didn't want to reject such an offer. So we decided to let me do a remix of the original. See it as a 2016 re-interpretation that is more connected of who I am today...

The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive.
