Factor City kicks off its third decade in full swing, led by Undo solo and accompanied by its usual partners Casiowaves and Vicknoise.
It all began in 2003 when Undo & Vicknoise laid the foundation for the label with "Noctámbula," and over the years, they continued to collaborate closely, managing the label and producing "hits" such as "Orca" or "Happy Monday." From 2011 onward, following an amicable parting, Undo began to run the label solo while maintaining the same spirit and distinctive sound of the Barcelona-based label, always at the forefront of dance music produced in Spain.
Now, in 2024, in a digital world where fewer and fewer things can be touched with our fingers and where 100,000 songs are uploaded to Spotify every day, Factor City is charting a different course and starts a new decade on the dance floors by returning to vinyl releases and persisting in their low key and relaxed approach, releasing few and carefully curated records from their artists each year.
“Ciudad Futura” opens with "Good Times," a track by Undo that radiates joy and positivity. A euphoric ride through landscapes of analog synthesizers and drum machines. The second track on side A is signed by Undo & Vicknoise, who hadn't produced together in 15 years. And we hope they won't take as long to get back in the studio together after hearing "Electric Rainbow." A delightful slice of electro-disco. The B side is signed by the recent combo of Undo and Casiowaves. The first track, "Secret Worlds," follows in the wake of their recent releases on Factor City and Melodize with that winning combination of retro 80s and 90s synths with vocoders and a more contemporary production. Closing out the record is "Astralia," a vibrant "power synth pop" anthem adorned with FM synths and acid-tinged melodies. Thanks for listening!

Earlier this year, under the alias Cabizbajo, Roberto Escobosa unveiled "Loved Alone" — an album showcasing a captivating blend of electronic dance music spanning various styles. Building upon its success, Cabizbajo now introduces the first installment of a two-part remix series tailored for the dance floor.

This remix package features acclaimed artists Curses and Niv Ast, each offering their unique interpretations. Curses kicks off the journey with a dynamic reimagining of "About You," infusing elements of rave, trance, dark disco, and 80s nostalgia into an epic sonic voyage. Adrián Peña Sánchez (Calystarr), is a DJ, producer and electronic researcher from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz). His style could be compared like night and day, on the one hand, dynamism and depth and on the other, elegance and freshness. Their sounds are full of psychedelic atmospheres full of harmony using nuances and resources, in most cases, of a retrospective nature. Calystarr usually works under many musical influences, betting mostly on retro and underground indie sounds. In their sets and productions it is common to hear Nudisco, Italo, Classic House, New Beat, Indie Dance, Acid, EBM and Dark Disco styles.

Tact Recordings’ first release of 2018 drops in March courtesy of Nacieae, accompanied by a pair of astounding remixes from label bosses Yard One and fletcher. Tact Recordings has established itself as a label known for pushing consistently quality productions across bo th digital and physical formats since it’s inception in 2011.

Fletcher, brings his remix of  001.1’, a groovy after hours track while maintaining the delicate and mellow qualities of the original piece. The precision of the drums arrangement is carefully curated by Fletcher creating an atmospheric and groovy sense. The background sound selection is out of this world, design to alter your state of mind with an eerie and supernatural sound. 

Fletcher, demonstrates how comfortable he is using white noise in his production, not only as background filler but as an instrument of its own. Not to many producers can get away with such technique, and for that…Kudos Fletcher.

001.1 PREMIERE: Nacieae - 001.2 (fletcher Remix)[Tact Recordings]

Heavy Rotations Vol 1 is Maeve's first long player. Releasing a compilation has long been an ambition of the label, however time was the key component in producing a record we could all be proud of. The best laid plans can often fall by the wayside, having a clear idea of what you want to achieve with a record like this changes constantly as you collect the pieces of the puzzle and try fit them together in a way that makes sense.

As well as the label founders we started by also inviting friends that had already released on Maeve, to contribute to the compilation. This was a good starting point as each of those artists are all quite different from one another so we felt it could produce some interesting results. There was no brief, just a blank canvas to contribute something they felt belonged on the label. It was also super important for us to use this record as a platform for lesser known artists to showcase their work.

So after 2 years of planning we finally have an 11 track compilation together which will be delivered as a triple vinyl in early June. It is a record that developed and changed a lot over that period but now is something Maeve is very excited to share with the world.

On May 19th we will launch the record at Funkhaus Berlin with a line up compiled of those who contributed to the compilation.

Satoshi comes from Tokyo. Influenced by the 90's Detroit,Chicago and New York house/Techno scene. He managed to create within the years his own unique style by providing the world with a variety of dance music styles such as Deep House, Techno, and Acid. 
He has already released many tracks in labels such as Bedrock,Sudbeat,Get Physical,Moodmusic,We Play House Recordings,Detone,Motech,King Street 
Sounds,UNKNOWN season etc and as a result has managed to gain the recognition and respect of many key DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Ken Ishii, John Digweed,Hernan Cattaneo, Chris Coco, Ashley Beedle, Terry Farley,  just to name a few.
He run a label Sequent:Recordings and has monthly radio program Outerspace on Proton Radio.
