I wrote this song this morning about a dream I have on occasion, and not wanting to wake up from it.

my boss dressed me down
and called me a jerk

insomnia last night
has made me feel groggy
the sandwich i’d packed
by lunch became soggy
no reason to quit
i know that i’m stuck
why find another job
cuz all of them suck

i skipped happy hour
for i’d had my fill
no power at home
i hadn’t paid the bill
i couldn’t use my phone
the battery had died
the day kept getting darker
and so did my mind
